We got Vibrato from Stellar, Heart Attack from AOA, Party from SNSD, Me Gustas Tu from GFriend, Remember from APink, Hurt Locker from 9Muses, and of course this song!! D.Holic could’ve been huge if their company rode the momentum they got with this song :/ Hami (Xu Xiaohan) is on Produce Camp 2020 in China so hopefully she finally gets to make it big!! And I’m still waiting for Rena to redebut!!! D.Holic deserved so much more :/
Let's be honest here, I'm pretty sure if a group like Exid or AOA released this bop it be at the top of the charts. I still can't believe how much this bop was slept on
@@kikiblacc4792 im- 🤨 of course they didn't. DDD is a sexy,dark concept and the song (even the choreography) is totally different. "Chewy" is a more sensual and bright,summer vibes (?) concept.... Also,EXID has been doing sexy concepts since debut... (Up&Down,Ah yeah....)
I'm Thirsty For Yura well, EXID and AOA have a company that tried to keep them afloat, which worked. And it took EXID a while to become one of those groups who are on the “one hit wonder list”
it's so sad that they disbanded , i'm hoping since kpop is getting popular that people will give small groups a chance to shine, people are only paying attention to the mainstream popular groups thinking that's kpop, but kpop is much more , there are so many great groups that deserve recognition and D'Holic was one of them I really hope the next group Rena will debut in will be successful ♥
You can really hear how much the whole sound of Kpop has changed. Don't think a song like this would see the light of day nowadays. Ah well, good memories.
Funny how the lesser known girl groups can make better songs than the trendy ones. This is literally the only song that caught my full attention this summer (besides AOA and maybe GsD......barely) but I really love this song.
Nina 애기 Check out the MV for Stellar's new song too. Probably their best song since Marionette. (They got more than 1 Million views in less than 2 days!) Don't be put off by the MV. It is 19+, but its hard to see why. (Mostly innuendo and suggestiveness rather than anything really objectionable.)
StrangeUniverse2012 Nina 애기 Stellar was soooo good once I looked past the video which didn't appeal to me. It was actually such a well produced song! and Nine Muses had Hurtlocker. But yes, this is a lot better (in my opinion) than say...snsd
UPDATE - D.Holic informally disbanded after EJ announced her departure of the group to pursue a modeling career. Nayoung & Youjin who were used as replaces for Hami and Hwajung never made their official debut which makes Rena the only remaining member. She's in the talks to be part of a new girl group that will debut soon.
Good thing Takata Kenda blew up from JBJ because he’s from the same company. Rena also was on Mix Nine she did a great job but never got any screen time. I really hope they redebut Rena soon

(Yiren - Everglow, Jun&THE8 - SEVENTEEN, we had all of Wayv (basically a sub unit of NCT)) (Then we've got some groups without their Chinese members Yanan - Pentagon, Lay - EXO, Cheng Xiao, Xuanyi & Meiqi - WJSN, the group Uniq (which has 3 Chinese members and 2 Korean. They were meant to promote both in China and Korea but now they all live in their respective countries. Wang Yibo and Wenhan are probably the most prominently known in China. Cho Seungyoun was in X1 and is now solo) and I'm probably forgetting a few

Nelly Dupuy I love Jung and Playback, they're my two favourite songs at the moment, but this song here (Chewy) is great too, I'm really liking it!! Yeah, I mean the video was awesome and I love their new hair colours, but the song is really not catchy at all, in my opinion... :/

I love the middle eastern/Bollywood sound and dance influences in this k pop song! Girls generation party and Sistar shake it summer songs were really disappointing for me......... Dholic by far have the best girl group summer song at the moment! The girl in the red jumper looks like one of the girls from Ladies Code and I almost thought that was Hyuna singing the chorus o_O!

D.holic is making a comeback tomorrow with the new title single and mini album "color me rad". They have already had a comeback showcase before the initial release, please support them when they comeback as members have stated this is there last chance.
I still think D.Holic could've been bigger. When this came out, it really felt like they were gaining some traction, at least for a rookie group, but the company absolutely fumbled by not promoting "Murphy and Sally", plus that whole "D.Holic will disband if we don't sell x amount of copies of "Color Me Rad"" I think really turned some people away. :/ Honestly, if a more capable agency had handled them, D.Holic would've probably lasted longer. I hope they're happy wherever they are now.

Why aren't the big groups releasing great shit like this? I mean, I liked most of the comebacks from the girlgroups I usually listen to, but this is the best one so far, with ease.
Jordi Vanderwaal I completely agree. This song would be an absolute classic if it came from any of the big-name girl groups. It's already one of my all time favourite K-Pop songs.

dreamworldVII I know it was released earlier, but it sounds like a regular summer hit, so it fits hahah oh and I already listened to them, finally Stellar came back with something interesting and relevant (and more successful than Mask and Fool, not that it wasn't hard), and Hurt Locker is amazing, but I still prefer Chewy Chewy and Z.Hera's Peanut Butter as "summer songs". :3 The nugus are releasing now better music than the relevant groups, it's amazing xD
I think they did really well with this being their debut song. There's definitely inexperience in their performance, but they've done an amazing job despite the fact. Perhaps that's what they call talent - or really hard work.
Rena is out from Mixnine😭😭😭I hope that she'll debut next year...also, I think that Dambi might come back (hopefully), she had a post on instagram saying that she'll make more music in the future and the video was with some scenes with her from Chewy...let's hope that all the members, even if they left, will have a bright future
I love the song. But the style of the music video does not match the style of the song at all. It kinda looks like what some of us kpop fans do when we mash up a different song to a different video just for fun.

Like idk it could be the video blinding me with all it's rainbow color but I'm not quite getting the wave that everyone's getting from it. 5foot Giant No, I feel the same. There are some interesting sounds the arranger/composer used, but the song itself I don't find interesting. Others apparently like it, but I challenge anyone to close your eyes and listen to it all the way through. Don't cheat and open your eyes! Whatever, the hand and hip movements are nothing exceptional, although alluring.
