Can shift b used to send additional cc messages from controls when held down or is it just for utility purposes? It would be nice if it worked to double up the ccs sent by the unit.

Thanks. There are only the the cc mode and the daw mode that you can switch on the fly. You can save as many presets for the cc mode as you want, but you must enter midi suite to change it.
Can you use the USB cable to transmit midi data as well as power, instead of using the Bluetooth? I am thinking the USB cable would be a faster transmission and better response time than Bluetooth.
Can this device work with a cable? or is it possible to connect to the mwave 5din midi receiver? I want to send a signal to midi in 5din in the instrument.
I guess you can set your faders in cc mode to control the sends and then switch between DAW and CC mode. That’s just off the top of my head. Let me know if it works :)
Iv not purchased it since this seems like a necessary button , if I used your suggested method I would only be able to control one send and not flick through all sends
Hi, I am struggling use this SMC Mixer to FL studio mobile on android. It connects but does not link the cc to each channel but to all. I was wondering if this midi device simply does not support FL studio mobile. Any idea?
hi what is daw mode? can you customize the cc sent? it has some kind of "pages" so you can use multiple banks of faders?i want to use it with mixing station to control my digital mixer
Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me, I'm trying to install two mixers together but they conflict, let's say Cubase always sees one even if the two mixers are turned on, sometimes when I tried to configure, seeing two smc mixers inside Cubase, only one always worked one, do you know if there is a way to put two? first of all thanks for the answer, I tried just as you say by configuring the controllers on Cubase I selected Mackie Control 1 and then I selected Mackie Control 2 again but as soon as I open Cubase one works and the other as if it doesn't read it, only once when Cubase started it turned on both but only moved two faders but both mixers
Hi Marius, Thanks for your review! I would like to use this device not as a hardware mixer, but simply to use the faders as MIDI Continuous Controllers. In your experience, is it possible to assign a MIDI controller in a sample library (Kontakt or something similar) without having to use the VAVE editor? I'm not too interested in Bluetooth. A USB cable is fine: does this device behave correctly (transmit data) over the USB cable? Cheers, Giorgio from Italy
Hey. Well you have to use the editor and assign what midi messages it sends. Also, using midi cc 1 and 11 to control your modulation and vibrato in a strings sample library works just fine. Cheers!
It’s not too much of a video. You just select midi in and out to go on the mixer, and i can’t remeber if you also have to put the mackiecontrol on control surface, but you can try both ways. :)

How did you get one where the LEDs worked? I, as well as many other people who purchased one are trying to work out how to make them work. Am I missing something you know about? Do you have friends in high places in the Chinese Communist Party? It works great but would be better if the LEDs came on.
Wrong Bro, I just worked it out before I was gonna smash it & get a Nano 2. The stupid Chineezy software doesn't allow any changes in DAW Mode, which is a Chinese kind of Retarded. Only the cc Mode allows changes so you have to Map the fuck out of it but eventually it works, including the LEDs. The MidiSuite software shows that the goons are controlling Ableton in the DAW Mode with, wait fot it, "Note" data, WTF? I was getting notes every time I pressed any of the Track Buttons, I tried to change it but the Software wouldn't allow me. Did someone order a Chinese Clown for the Birthday Party? His name is M-vave & he's fucked in the head. Still, bang for bucks, it does the job. If you get any other people with the same question, the answer is, lose the DAW Mode & map the fuck out of cc Mode. There are enough "Undefined" Midi cc available to do the job. Cya.

Just with setting everything up to be just like it is in my DAW (Logic Pro) I’m trying to set all the sliders to faders and knobs to pan and I am struggling with knowing how to in the app and what everything means 😂😅
Just try the Daw mode, it’s all set up for you. Check out the video, i talk about it. If you want your own settings, you can search for cc messages, and what they mean and do. There are websites for that. Cheers!
if it sends MIDI info, then that's good news for me too. I'm on the fence to buy this thing for a long time now. I use a novation launchpad mini to control anything on my PC (drawing apps, IDE, browser, etc.). I personally use BOME Midi Translator Classic. Other people are using MidiKey2Key. You might want to check that out too.
