Being a G2 fan is an extremely nerve wrecking experience. The inferno was a classic choke by G2 and vertigo was vitality's strong map but when mirage 1-7 happened i was done. Come back a few mins later its 8-7 and then G2 won last 14 rounds out of 15. Hell of a ride this match was❤🔥
G2 is like... family. Niko looks all the way to jks, then they hit the nos and we get the CS equivalent of Fast and Furious. Anything stupid can happen.
Why didn't vitality choose nuke against g2? It's they best map overall they would have won this series against g2 if last map was nuke instead of mirage.
@@mohrbimoumen2715same happened to niko as well on inferno he started his KD with 7-0 and then kept getting bullied on banana which shattered his whole confidence and the main reason why G2 lost the first map
What ive noticed from G2 is that if m0nesy and hunter is doing well, the team is doing well, and if the team isn’t doing well, niko is doing extremely well
@@malhaar2271 not niko throating, just stating what I see. during blast fall groups he was literally the only one with a positive rating… you could make an argument during vitality he was not up to par but that is compensated due to the fact that the other star players were actually being star players
When I was watching it live I was “Holy shit Ilya what are you doing that’s illegal to do to Vitality.” I don’t think even s1mple has done this performance to Vitality ever before. (Correct me if I am wrong pls)
Here I was thinking G2 were on the fast track to sliding out of the top 10 and then they go and beat Astralis, Faze AND Vitality back to back. They’re looking like they’re back in top form, let’s see if they can find consistency.
Big time Niko fan here and I dont know about that man C9 without ax1le too stronk, I mean at this point any of the teams which made it to the playoffs can win the trophy, this is by far the most competitive tournament in a long time. Even underdogs like the mongolz almost beat the #1 team in the world.
@@sofarsogodif C9 will meet our expectations, C9 vs G2 would be the most interesting match out of all Cologne just to test both teams. Test for C9 to show if this roster really is a menace to proscene and test for G2 to show if this they are worthy to become top 1 HLTV again. (Well ofc also because it will be a grand final bruh)
This was 3-0 from G2, but so happy that they made it through after all the hell we all went through, we are finally eating good, when this roster clicks😏 no one can come close to them, also it's so fun to watch jks tho, he's such a smart player and knows what to do and not, damn I'm so happy they made it semi❤️
I wonder if semis at Cologne would be enough to secure more time for Hooxi on this roster. If not, what would be? Finals appearance? Trophy? Maybe more? Who knows
@@PyxytyI don't get why we're starting conversations about roster changes? g2 seemed to make it pretty clear they aren't gonna change anything. They seem pretty aware that changing igls constantly wasn't gonna help in the past, especially since most of g2s issues have clearly come from their mental as a whole.
@@anthrex6670 I should clarify, im not supporting any roster changes. I was, I am, and I will always be a firm believer that hooxi stays. However, even from their interviews it was clear the boys were suspecting that G2 might consider a player swap for Hooxi, most notably from hunter talking about them deserving one last chance. So I was just wondering what would seal the deal for Hooxi to continue staying, or kf it's already been sealed now with a semis appearance.
Is it me, or has Hooxie completely turned up his mechanical skills? People have been clowning him for dropping barely any kills, but this guy is holding up against goats and making money moves.
He's always been the sacrificial lamb on T side, making info entries where he just jumps in and calls out where they are, but he has made minor improvements with his crosshair placement when entrying and he improved enough that they can run 2 awp setups on ct Mirage that can actually be viable. It isnt much but there's definitely been atleast some improvement for sure.
@@Pyxytynot just hooxie but niko said in an interview that he has been practising a lot on his awp again he realised they might need double awp sometimes and he was the next best after monesy if u see his awping rounds in this cologne he hasnt missed any imp awp shots
I don’t even think that they lost Inferno because Vitality played strong but because G2 just shut down for a map lmao. They woke up on the next two and showed their real deal.
@@KommandantAegiseven if monesy didnt knew, it is still a pretty common and known wallbang spot whenevr u dont spot anybody in jungle they are most likely coming to jungle from B market/kitchen or stopping at that wallbang spot to kill any Ts that might've pushed CT spawn hence awpers sometimes wallbang that spot
Hooxi has put up one hell of a performance this event , honestly if he's able to keep up this skill and keep everyone in check I'm expecting good things from G2 , the fact they threw from 15-11 followed by being down 1-7 on last map , to go through all that and come up with a win vs current Major winners I have to give props to them , I think they get bested by Heroic and ENCE but they have a chance to win it all again
yes I'm actually surprised how Ence have been able to finally make a stable intl. roster work imagine getting a player from spain from movistar riders and he turns out to be one of the best young awpers after broky & monesy its crazy
@@csblucasone thing that goes in favour of G2 is that they have literally thrashed Faze & Vitality in group stages no other team has that ability to beat Faze & Vitality one sided in a single tournament even Ence had to grind out against Heroic to make it to Semis
He's also tailored for esports at a young age. The work ethic and the way he handles himself in events. Such a complete package prodigy. s1mple minus the EGO. This kid's trophy cabinet will be crazy once he retires.
G2 fans stay eating good ☺️ RIP to those who couldnt pay for their hospital bills after a map 1 heart attack. See y'all this Saturday on semis! 🎉 Also, ILYA = I LOVE YOUR ASS, thanks for the topfrag sir ❤
Woah where has this G2 been hiding all this time ?? I thought they would get tilted after losing the first map, but man they came back swinging I really hope Niko can win this last csgo cologne he totally deserves it more than anyone else.
@@fa1con989idk about anything before blast but apparently they didn’t do boot camp or anything like that for blast and used the tourney to get ready for cologne
SPOILERS Monesy was absolutely insane in the final map. I dont think weve ever seen him play so well, at the same time Niko is playing well, and its terrifying how good they looked. Hooxis calls were on point too.
@@whoami8247 Ill have to rewatch it, i dont remember him looking so dominant. It felt like wherever he was on Mirage, he was either shutting down the exec completely or retaking with a multifrag.
@@2639thebossAt Katowice he was exactly like today. The difference between Blast Groups, Paris Major and this Cologne is that they let Monesy just play deathmatch. They let him loose and fly to do his thing. It’s literally “monesy go kill” but it’s working. He’s like s1mple. G2 just needs to let him be more flashy version of himself and this is what happens. Same goes to Niko if monesy has a bad day.
So how is the pro scene going to switch over? Will CS2 come out in the middle of placements or an event or some type of preliminary where it can make it weird/unfair.
Was watching live during the inferno map, but once they choked it, I just couldn't bare to watch, and decided to just watch highlights. Thought it was done a second time when it was 7-1 vitality, but damn....this isn't good for my heart U guys DX
Karma for apEX talking shit all the match... even if HooXi was flaming too to be fair. Seeing all this fire power with Zywoo Spinx Magisk Flamez playing against Jks Niko Monesy & Hunter, spining, head shoting, knifing, one taping, no scop ect... And 2 apes yelling in the midle with Ray charles aim..
I was so pissed at how they lost inferno I almost went to bed early. Then they really showed up on vertigo and mirage. Great win against Vitality of all teams. All that's left now is to finish the job.
I used to be a believer of that, that S1mple would pass his torch soon, but honestly, s1mple is showing he still has lots lots more in him. If there does come a day that he passes his torch, it wont be coming any time soon, probably like a handful of years into CS2 before that happens maybe hahaha
@@Pyxyty ye....i think simple will retire earlier than monesy cuz of age gap and then he would pass his torch..obviously i dont want him to retire any time soon
Great series 👍🏻👍🏻 that's the monesy we want on the server! Wish magisk could show up on mirage, things would've been more interesting but overall great match and series...thriller🔥
ZywHo from 15-2 after 9 rounds.. become 16-16 after 24 rounds.. 1-14 after 15 rounds lol... Such a great achievement for player who always said as prodigy (for his fans of course) lol..
Is it just me or Vitality usually have the easier route to the playoffs or finals for the last few tournaments that they went deep? I mean they usually play the lesser teams and when they lost they go into the bracket side with easier teams that if they were to win 3-0 in the bracket. They got lose to g2 in this but end up having the easier side in the playoffs. I have noticed this for this tournament, Fall groups, Rio and the major. What dp u guys think?
Nah bro, remember that this is the g2 that beat heroic on katowice, so it is very possible for G2 to win against vitality if they can reach their full potential. If heroic can beat vitality, g2 can do that
@@Mastergenius_ this is the 1 lost I talked about. They lost this and it sends them into the easier side of the bracket is my point for this . Their opponent to the finals will only be c9 and ence ehich is much easier than Heroic and G2 and Astralis as well
6:50 what the actual fuck is flamez doing, it's like he's trying to jiggle peak but with his entire body exposed holding a nade one of the most free kills i've seen in pro play
He was obviously just info peeking so he can drop util as soon as he sees anything. A bit too wide of peeks, but it's very common on B when only one player stays near site. M0nesy was just fast.
@@Pyxyty i get that and agree m0nesy is fast as hell, he's just more than a bit too wide he's all the way in the open spamming a and d like it's a shoulder peek. Even without an awp that's a kill since everyone pre aims that corner
you can clearly see monesy dry peaked him without using any utility whenever Ts take banana control beyond half wall they mostly use util Flamez never expected monesy to just dry peak him like that
6:52 -- why does Vitality place themselves 1B, 4A when they have full buy? apex could pretty much play on B in case of a scenario that has just happened here - somebody kills flamez spotting banana. also m0nesy seems to be aware that flamez was the only player on B (but i guess he knew that Vitality have already done something like that before or something). is this like a default play what Vitality did here? if so, why? it's pretty much won round for g2 after that one kill when no one else is present on B. if somebody with higher experience could give some input, i would be obliged
Why didn't vitality choose nuke against g2? It's they best map overall they would have won this series against g2 if last map was nuke instead of mirage.
The one talent not many people look at when it comes to Hooxi is that he's never not bringing the energy/hype, Luka Doncic once said "Everybody acting tough when they up" well Hooxi acts tough when he's up and down in a series . .. Meanwhile Apex is just screaming when ther up. . . Example being Hooxi was screaming after winning the 7-2 round. . . while Apex well realistically the entire team, was dead silent after the 12-7 round .. . *All on mirage* So its pretty impressive and def what g2 needs IMO EDIT: yaknow maybe its a French thing, the french has been notorious for falling apart or booming really, after one round lost, I'd say they got better over time, but don't forget the french are an emotional group of players in Tier 1 CsGo
