I upgraded from a 2017 10.5 pro to a 2022 iPad Air 5 last summer. I don't need a thing the pro offers, and I don't miss promotion and can't even tell a difference. This tablet will last me a decade. The Air is awesome.
As much as I loved my 2017 iPad Pro the M1 iPad Air caught my attention, I didn’t see no need to invest in another iPad Pro, the iPad Air has all what I need
What your take? I’m debating between 12.9 m1 iPad Pro or this one. Going to use it for studying, web browsing and entertainment. I’m just concerned that the screen might not be big enough, but it looks good in the video.
I have this iPad and I mainly use it for productivity and school, so personally I don’t feel the 256gb is justifiable as 64gb is perfectly capable for students, so don’t waste your money on extra storage unless you really need it.
How long does the battery last😭. I need it for medical school and want to make sure it doesn't drain easily as I would want 8 to 9 hours for taking notes.
Hi! I wonder on average, how many hours per day do you use your ipad? Kinda torn what to chooose. Am looking for something i could use for medschool since i'm an incoming freshman, something that'll last til internships and boards. Though i think i might get the ipad air 5. I'm on a tight budget but i wanna make good investment. My other choices are ipad 10th gen, xiaomi pad 5, and galaxy tab s8. Really torn hahahahahahha but tenksss
My brother is in market for new tablet, thinking about getting this for him. Their on sale right now and get it now before price goes back up. All he does is surf the web and watch videos nothing to taxing.
Girl from work needed cash fast for her car that broke down. She didnt use her ipad so she wanted to sell it fast for $250. It’s an 11” ipad air 5th gen 256 gb with the apple pencil included and it had a case. I thought it was a no brainer. I bought it immediately. I’m very happy with this purchase especially after learning more about it.
Hi, thank You for the video I am now thinking of buying this for Procreate, to paint with the Apple Pencil 2. Is this setup is a good idea? (really for painting, oil, acryl...) is not this display too small for it? thank You for Your answer in advance
i guess the M2 iPad Air will be as „upgraded“ as the M2 MacBook Air, in a bad way: thermals! The M1 gets under heavy load already „hot“ at the place the M1 sits before throttling and going to a acceptable temperature within 1-2 minutes, the M2 is even a „supercharged“ (with higher TDP) SoC than the M1. Im also (after 1 month for studying) super happy with the M1, i got the 256GB version and you reassured me that 256 was definately the way to go (as expected from the beginning, 64 is poor) In combination with my trusty 16“ M1 Pro base model i cant really wish for more (except rarely the Magic Keyboard would be amazing for the iPad but i prefer thin and super light basic covers)
I want to get an iPad (my first actually) and was thinking of getting the 9th or 10th Gen just for drawing but I saw the Air 5 so I don't know which would be better. And between 10th Gen and Air 5 I don't know which one is more feasible in regards to Procreate 😔
Entry level 64gb's of storage is frankly pathetic for any device storage is stupid cheap, yet Apple still wants to price the upgrade like we live in 2014 .. Either bump it up to 256gb's or add an SD card slot so folks can do it themselves for the 7 extra bucks
For me it all comes down to the storage. If there was a 128 GB variant, all would have been sorted. Since there isn’t, if you reach out to the 256 GB, then might as well get the ipad pro
Video definitely helped me choose. I’m not worried about waiting for the 6th Ge. Now I’m getting slightly older with back issues this pad will be used mainly for lightroom and some video editing when I’m not able to use my desktop. Looking forward to buying this tablet tomorrow and owning it for a good 4 years or more.
is the 64 gb is enouh for a content creator (mainly video editing) & also for sketching ,viewing drawings & 3d models..etc ( i'm an architect too:) )..thankyou
@@zeeesealook on Amazon I bought mine for that exact price a bit more for taxes (of course) but it’s on sale I bought mine yerteday 💗 this Friday I will have it.
I know the culture is to upgrade and there are others who are satisfied and won't upgrade but I have a feeling I'll wait for yet another modle. I was so hoping that after the 5th gen of iPad Air released, that Apple would consider adding the color yellow as an option. It is not even my favorite color but to have it in a piece of technology just fascinates me. So, I will wait for further upgrades. I thought watching the video would convince me to just do it, but it's a big purchase. Like he said. 64 GB was not really enough. So if I want the most out of Apple, it looks like I have to wait and save for their next big thing! 😂😂😂
Most people beef with air is the laclk of pro motion. I can't tell the diffrenat all and I'm a high refresh rate PC gamer. I think people know it doesn't have it so they think they notice a difference when they likely don't.
I think the base model m1 iPad Air is excellent. Half of the time, I used it with an external monitor, with Magic Trackpad, an external monitor, and a sound bar, I will say it act like a Mac mini, or Apple TV in this way. For simple task, it is indistinguishable from Mac. This is definitely a game changer, and it is possible for everyone to use iPad as their main desktop and laptop. Other times, I used it to consume content, on the go. Netflix, Apple TV plus, RU-vid, works amazingly. I could check email, news, conveniently. And in school, I used it to take notes, which is amazing. The Apple Pencil is pricey, but I found it easier to organize digital notes than physical notes. The one note, and apple note app is amazing. I used free form to brainstorm idea with classmates. For the battery, I say it is fine, but not spectacular . I can watch about 5-6 hours of Netflix in one full charge, or 6 to 7 hours watching RU-vid, which is not as good as Mac book air, which battery last for 2 days per charge. But the less than ideal battery life is not such a big problem for me as half of the time I used it docked while charging. Thus I always get full battery when I need to take it out to use it on the go. I really recommend people, especially students, to get the iPad Air. For student, you can get a cheap Apple Music subscription, with free Apple TV plus included. And watching movie on iPad, external monitors, is much more enjoyable than the phone. And the whole package, the set up I have, with education discount, is still cheaper than a MacBook Pro 13 inch, or even the larger variant of m2 iPad Pro. Yes, you will miss out the pro motion, but the difference is that large on the iPad. And as I don’t play games on iPad, I don’t think it worth that much in upgrading the storage. The base model should be fine.
@@Satoru_Gojo5 it depends. Watching RU-vid give me about 7 hours battery life. Reading pdf easily give me full days. However, I know some iPad Air has defect that they get hot, with very poor battery life, just 2-3 hours watching RU-vid. You could feel if your iPad is build good, by ensuring it’s back does not flex.
What brightness? Battery doesn’t sound too promising. I get 8 hours on my 7th gen after 700 cycles. Mostly youtube, safari and spotify though - on 50% brightness. Considering upgrading to M1 but the battery does not sound great, especially I’m worried what it would be like after some years.
iPads a computer but it has limitations so it’s not bad to have a computer when you run into them. But overall I used my iPad 2 years now it’s been the best tool I’ve ever bought for editing photos.
I have the m1 ipad air and i don't see a reason upgrading. The only thing i don't like is that it doesn't have a great camera. Its just good as a tablet. Ik it's weird but i really like photography and why not make ipads also good in that.
My boss has the M1 iPad and when he saw me working off my Tab S8 Ultra and saw me having PIP and 3 apps opened and it could run our office's full desktop software, he ordered one himself! He thought Android tabs were cheap 5-year-old toys and now he saw the true power of Samsung! Oh, and it comes with the Spen! 😅
@Tizen People just care about what others think if then is all! For some reason, even iPhone SE 2020 with a busted screen and weak battery is considered to be of a "rich" person! 🤣🤣 The peeps who think blue bubbles are everything, are usually the people who are struggling financially!
@1993rufus honestly.. there's this guy that I know that loves customizing everything, from every app to everything on his chromebook.. but he has an iPhone and makes fun of androids lol.
I dont upgrade until the device dies..thats just me....i have used OnePlus 6t for last 5 years and just bought OnePlus 11 5G...plan to use it for next 5.
I use my ipad as my main computer and the only issue that i am having is the battery life. I use the more space display option and that drains the battery from 100 to 0 in 4 hours.
I pair my iPad 5 (256 gb) with my new Mac mini m2. The combo works great as I can use the iPad as a laptop substitute (I have Magic Keyboard...but I suggest Logitech instead if you are buying , because cheaper and just as good) and anything I can't do on the iPad, I can do on the Mac mini...and the ecosystem integration is just yum. Sidecar works sooooo well as a second screen for my Mac. Oh and it just got more value now that it can run Final Cut and logic.
@Andrew Clare 1000% sure is! Samsung behaves like a computer and iPad still behaves like they did years ago at first launch! What's the point of having the M series chips if they can't even handle true multitasking
How do you define good battery life? .. just got a refurbished ipad air 5, checked battery with imazing and coconutbattery, only 36 charge cycles, in really good health. But drains more than I expected, over night -5% with no apps in background, no wifi or bluetooth, low power mode. 🤔
Ì freaking love your shot with the iPad in the middle with the AirPods Max Magic Keyboard and iPhone 14pro still in frame but not focused on that I absolutely love it and how do u pull it off so clean looking 😅just an amazing shot tho ❤❤
@inlovewithoikaawatooru7867 2 Because I want her to have the best. I do not get to spend time with her or my nephew. I buy them tech and hopefully it helps them.
