I got the 10 for the camera and battery life. I have the macbook air and i think if anyone has a macbook they should just get the cheaper version of what they need. The Air ipad is the better overall value but you'll still be wasting money if you have a macbook or mac mini etc.
That was my thought process. My parents got me a MacBook Pro 16in for my graduation gift, and I felt like with such a powerhouse laptop, I didn’t need a top-of-the-line IPad. I have no complaints with the 10th gen, besides the pencil situation. But it seems Apple has just came out with a pencil that’s seemingly meant for the 10th gen.
Well done. U concisely got to the internal debate I've been having. Just really annoying to deal with pencil gen 1 & knowing chip set is equal to iPhone 12 quality chipset.
Darn it thank you for this review. I’ve been going through so much information about which iPad should I go for and you just made it way clearer and easier. I study web programming and I have a Mac M1, I wanted an extra powerful device to use mostly as a screen for multitasking and coding pretty much. Everyone talks about iPads on content creation but just a few people consider there is more than just content creators and video editing (which is ok for me) but I couldn’t find any other video talking to a different audience. Thank you🙌🏻.
I just graduated high school and upgraded my iPad 6 to an iPad Air 5 and am so glad that I did it. For me the laminated screen, the 2nd gen Apple Pencil support and the M1 chip was a game changer The battery life is more than enough
The iPad Air 5th gen is worth the extra money because of the Apple pencil (I would never have the time to charge them if it weren't for the wireless charging). Oftentimes, I stay late on campus and run out of battery, so I request my classmates for chargers, but if I had a 10th-generation iPad, I would need two chargers, not one. Also the laminated display just has a nice feel and makes note-taking more aesthetically enjoyable,
Bought the Ipad 10 for school and returned it after a week because it doesn't charge the 2nd gen pencil and note taking was okay, not great..... its 100$ more and well worth the money, personally i was disappointed when using the 10th gen. awaiting my Ipad air, hope it works out :)
Only reason I ended up with the iPad Air 5th generation is because I had gotten extremely lucky and bought one for 250$ only one tiny scratch but it’s hardly noticeable and wasn’t an issue
We have 3 of these iPads for our family members ru-vid.comUgkxUGaHtKW8MwCql2fPyIm9-ftTqSMzKFFA . Great apple product and provides the necessary performance needed for a basic tablet. No one in our family requires an iPad Pro, so this iPad fits our needs well. I’ve never had complaints on my Apple purchases and this iPad follows suit. Def worth the money.
I don’t know how to describe this but do NOT buy the iPad 10 as an easy way out as it’s less expensive and have it as your substitute for what you originally wanted, the Air 5. I feel like a lot of people will be very satisfied with the 10. I’ve owned one for 6 months in the 64GB Yellow version. But if you use the apple pencil and keyboard a lot I really wouldn’t bother… I use the Magic Keyboard Folio and Apple Pencil with it and I hate the kickstand of the keyboard as I can never get an adequate angle with it and if you wanna work from the comfort or your bed it is extremely cumbersome and unstable in my own experience, and the lack of ability to store the pencil is a game changer for me when i’m spending £499 on the tablet alone. I’ve also found my battery life personally to be poorer than my 3 year old iPad 8th Gen. Also with the keyboard case, not having the ability to use proper external display support and stage manager is also a major con for me. My pros are the amazing palette of colours, the performance of the A15 and 4GB of RAM and the landscape camera… that landscape is A BLESSING for facetime and i’ll be so sad to let it go. You’ll KNOW if you want or need the Air 5. And i’ve now realised that down the line and am choosing to sell up and buy the Air 5. Please be careful with your money and do an extra bit of saving if you are going to need it.
I disagree with one statement that m1 air should be for students with the keyboard that is close to “pro” and iPad 10 is for just kids and chilling device.
What college student needs an M1? 🤡 its not a real job nor do they have actual workflows. College is a joke, no matter the course, they just mess around.
Best and cheapest combination in my opinion is an iPad 10 with a Macbook Air M1 2020. Use the old and still useful Apple Pencil Gen 1 and the iPad as a dual monitor when carrying both and the Macbook for the work described here on the iPad Air. Apple has never made the iPads computer replacements so why waste money on those features when you can get a cheaper and better computer in the M1 Macbook Air.
Very informative, but could you please show the details a bit longer. I'm a pretty fast reader, but now I have to stop the video to get all the details.
what do you think.. i was planning to buy ipad air 5, just about a few days ago. Then I have read that in march there will be a few new ipads. And right now I think that the best option is waiting to drop the prices, but tbh i am not into all this stuff and i dont know if the prices will really go down or not and how much? Or maybe buy other ipad? My requirements are high quality of graphic and draw stuff, and of cors do notes in school. But as far as it goes i am not really demanding person.
@@mirianabraham3945 Nice. Seeing now Costco has 2 yr Applecare warranty for $59. BJs has 3yr extended BJ warranty for $69 & $15 credit promotion when purchasing over $150. If new Air comes out in March with 128gb base model, I might return Air 5 bec 64 gb is just not enough.
Hello I just got my new iPad Pro m2 with Apple Pencil 2nd Generation, my question is that will it be ok to dock the pencil all the time when not in use at the the top of iPad will it damage the battery of pencil or iPad in any way?
At 349 for the 10 that seems like a good price- but at 399 for a m1 iPad Air that places are selling them for since the new one has come out seems like a better price
which is Best Decision for Buying Ipad(wifi only) for Study & NoteTakings iPad Air 5th Generation M1 Chipset (FLIPKART - ₹59,900) (AMAZON - ₹64,900) or iPad 10th Generation A14 Chipset (FLIPKART - ₹49,900) (AMAZON - ₹49,900) Tell Me Fast & If you have Any one of them Then tell me Your experience too.... 📱🤳🏻
bro if you have budget to buy m1 ipad than go for it because it will be good for long term but if you have less budget than go for ipad 10th gen it will do most of your work.
Air 4 is better buy than iPad 10 , IPad Air 5 has bad battery time . And Best Buy for money and function for most of works IPad 9 for 300 bucks with best time for work
I love my Air 5 and when photo editing it lasts about 3 and half hours before hitting 45% which for me is perfect. Regular use lasts about 8 hours watching videos. Which is more than enough.
And to me ipad 10th is more than enuf as phd student. And not a gamer. I just want to read odf journal article. No netflix cz i dont use on tablet. And i can (edited) use stylus pen. I can get air5 but i dont really need the extra.
was totally thinking the same thing. Almost couldn't concentrate on the content because the delivery seemed way to distracting. Stopped a minute into it
ipad 10th no antireflective coating ipad air m1 more future proof looking at task manager. possibly other options only for m1,m2 ipad air battery live not very good st all . 1,5 hours less comoared to 10th...
@@latinreuben I searched iPad battery life on RU-vid and there was someone who did a comparison between iPad mini, 9, 10, air, pro 11 and 12 inch with a mix of tests. Was done end of 2022
@@patvankeer4769Because M1 consumes a lot of energy compared to A14.. and, as you know, single-core standards are almost the same, M1 is 10% more.. so difference is only in multi core
So a iPad 10 will work for a 12 year old, better than a iPad Air? 🤔 I have a Air, but I work off mine. But she’ll mainly be playing games like Roblox. 🤔….. #HELPME
So... the iPad Air isn't a 'computer'? You said that twice in a row. Can you explain that? How is it that the iPad Air is NOT a computer? ..I'm going to give you a hint. Did you mean to say 'workstation' instead of 'computer'? Words matter.
