Guess what Will, I just finished watching all of your videos on this channel. I mean all of it and it was all worth it!! Thank you for your tutorship. Your other account has been rendered completely inactive...
I got my first Macbook this year. It’s M1 Macbook Air, 16gb I bought Affinity Photo and Designer and regularly use them, simultaneously, with Brave Browser, (multiple tabs) safari, Whatsapp, Music, Podcast, Vuze, open at the same time, and also connected to an external TV using usb hub. The laptop runs so so smoothly! Best investment ever!
Thank you Will for your video about the M1. RU-vid is lacking content about this M1 from an design besperspective. I am an illustrator and thinking about replacing my 5y old PC with 6 core intel and 32gb of ram for a Mac mini with M1 and 16gb memory. I think it will handel everthing well and will be the cheapest update i ever did for my work space. Would you think about waiting for the M1 pro in the mac mini's? I do illustratiosn in vectors, but also big illustrations in photoshop.
Hej would you still recommend the base 8gb version (because of the implemented ram) or would you recommend the 16 GB version? I Plan to keep the macbook for 5 years or even more. I was just wondering if i would use many layers if 16GB would be a great benefit? :)
He says he got the base model so it should have 8 GB of memory. That said, the M1 chip seems to be able to do more with 8 GB of memory than Intel chips, so I wouldn’t try to compare a MacBook Pro with 8 GB of RAM to a non-M1 iMac with 8 GB for example
me. that has a custom built windows10 pc that my mom gave me. watching cause I actually love the channel even tho I cant relate 😅 also I got confused I thought youre an australian omg 😅
Its so much that you don't need it that much, I got an i5 4.50GHZ processor 8GB RAM Lenovo E14, and using Gravit... not the Adobe products... Im able to enjoy speed and I have no trouble doing design work... there's so much we can do not needing too much power.... I don't get what the hype is all about...
Don't get me wrong I love Will Paterson's videos and all the topics but this M1 Mac Stuff is overkill and over priced, when you can get something reasonable and do all the design work you need
My biggest question would be do you need that much money paid? can you make a video on the minimum needed specs to do proper modern design... I guess half the audience would want that...
yes it is overkill if you're just using 1 or 2 adobe (or other design apps) at a time. The processing power of laptops such as M1 macs will make a difference when you start multitasking, when using various design apps and other apps you use in the background.
Some idiots here just don't get it, they go on about how they can build a designer pc for less. That time they are referring to windows PC while some of us are Mac OS users. Keep your windows PC while we buy MacBooks. It is our monies, our choices.
