Just a little update, as of the latest MacOS version Sonoma they added the ability to disable mouse acceleration within MacOS itself, no longer need to download 3rd party programs to do so!
Sell both and get a framework laptop 16" next year :P (I got a base 16" M1 Pro, but I can't get over so much crap Apple does for anti repair, like the lid sensor needs a calibration from them or you can't swap the screen or the ssd. I prefer MacOs but I'm so tempted by a framework laptop, the company is really amazing.)
Ye I heard a lot about framework. Maybe I'll get that to replace my zephyrus, but I love how seamless my macbook is and I also use final cut. I'll always have both a windows machine for gaming and my Mac for everything else 😎
im torn between this Macbook 16" and Dell XPS 15" , ended up with the Macbook as i remember i can just use Parallells when i need to use Windows, win win solution 🙏🏼🥰👍🏼
Yea I always wanted to run windows on my Mac too, but I didn't know I needed to pay for it and I'm too cheap lol. Oh well, I still got my zephryus. If you are impartial to an OS, I think you made the better choice. This macbook is the BEST machine I have ever bought!
I’m thinking of picking up a refurbished one on Amazon for under $1500. I want it for video editing so I don’t think there’s a huge benefit for M2 over it. And I don’t want to spend more than $2k so I’d have to go smaller with slower SSD. Maybe I can wait until next year for the M3 pro 😂
I recently purchased an M1 MacBook Pro 14 and, coincidentally, I own an ASUS laptop (2019 S15 ZenBook). The Mac is my primary laptop and I agree that it's an excellent device. Note: mouse acceleration is in System Settings under Tracking Speed.
@@thekaydubz I might be confusing my terms (wouldn't be the first time) but I think Tracking Speed is the same as acceleration. Also, I didn't ask what version of macOS you're running. I'm on Ventura 13.5.1.
I'm not sure what exact version I'm on but I should be on the latest, I'll have to check when I get home. But if I remember the tracking speed just changes the sensitivity for me and not the acceleration
Hey I am going to buy M1 MacBook Pro today , is it still worth it in 2023 ? And how long will it be supported ? Any idea ? I am looking to buy it for long term so will it be good for atleast next 3-4 year?
Using as we speak, this is my favorite machine 🥰. I don't think Apple will cut support for it so soon, it should be good for long term. I'm planning to keep mine for the next 3-4 years as well since it's running so smooth, quiet, and fast. We will see if Apple makes an update to slow it down in the future to get people to upgrade haha
Thank you for creating this video...its super helpful. I am also a PC user and was looking for a laptop for daily needs. Seeing a review with similar usage gives much more confidence as I am new to the macOS. Its great review and thank for creating it :)
