Late comment but. Do you notice an pattern between the m16s series? Like the m16a1 being automatic then m16a2 being 3 round burst, after that m16a3 which is an automatic variant.

​@@AverageUsernames lots of history here. The original M16 was infamous for stoppages in Vietnam, so the M16a1 was an upgrade to improve it. Soldiers loved it. By the 70s and 80s, the a1 started to show it's age, so the M16 was put up for further upgrades and development. While doing so, researchers believed that by making it a burst fire weapon, soldiers wouldn't waste ammo like they did in Vietnam. So the M16a2 was the latest edition at the time, with the burst fire being the most notable upgrade. The US Navy weren't comfortable with a burst fire rifle, so they opted to have a rifle that had the features of the a2 but with the fire selector of the a1. Thus, the a3 was born. The M16a3 is essentially a full auto a2. The M16a4 is a further development of the a2. With a newer stock, detachable carry handle to mount reflexes and scopes, a handguard and upper receiver with picatinny rails, overall a very modular weapon. It still retained the burst fire of the a2 for some reason. So you could say that the original M16 gave way to the a1, which further morphed into the a2 and a3. Only the a2 was developed further into the a4

If you've ever heard shards of broken glass being knocked around it's very similar, actually. There's a "ching" after every sound effect.

evanhunter 24 bf4 had the m16a4 variant which is a burst and semi in the game bf3 and hardline had the m16a3 variant which is automatic

the reason why they removed A3 on BF4 is because people picks assault and M16A3 too much

they also removed the m16a3 because the one in bf3 is fake

Heavystep it's the m4a1, but it's practically a m16, just slightly different as it has a round foregrip instead of the triangular one in most other games
