@gyrogerald, I don't know why, but it is impossible to share the link to this video with anybody on RU-vid. It is a sad shame because a lot of newbies and rookies could be persuaded this is a sane and safe way of flying a gyro whereas it definitely is not. There’s a very comprehensive video elsewhere by Ron about flying in the power curve and it should be recommanded watching. I resented being ridiculed, with an assumed "50 hours" flying experience, by a smart 4ss who, incidentally, flies in a lot more responsible way when his girlfriend is on board.
I have no idea what your talking about you can share this video. Also. This is a video showing what this gyro is capable of with a professionally pilot. Anyone who thinks they can fly this well on their first day of flying is Mistaken. I also watch travis Pastrana do flips on a motorcycle but common sense tells me I can’t do that but it’s cool to watch.

@GyroGerald I have a few questions, if you dont mind. If Im in a gyro and I face a big headwind, would it make my gyro faster (faster blades and all) or would it slow it down like everything else? do gyros suffer from retreating blade stall? would 3 gyro blades increase stability when flying through rough weather, allow the gyro to carry more weight and/or go faster? can gyros fly through worse weather than planes and helicopters?
Gyro's suffer from the same problems as helicopters when it comes to top speed. As for if three blades would be better, I'm gonna say no because at this stage I don't think any gyro has three blades so if it was better in any way I'm sure some would be using it.
@@michaeltward2859 my thinking was that if gyro's fly via autorotation (being in a constant state of free-fall pretty much) then a high wind would make the blades spin faster thereby increasing lift, which could be leveraged into increased speed. I read somewhere that with an increase in speed, there's a massive increase in drag. A man created a gyro with 3 blades, I heard through people that the man claimed it was the most stable flight he's ever had ("The additional control when landing is seriously useful - the ability to vary the rotor lift enables a very precise approach and touch-down. Chuck described it as "feeling like you could perch it on a fence post".)
@@pepperpeterpiperpickled9805 The thing is if a Gyro has a top speed of lets say 100mph that speed is an airspeed not a ground speed. So like a normal aircraft with a 20mph headwind it will have only a 80mph ground speed and with a tailwind it will have a 120mph groundspeed. Wind does not and never does effect the maximum speed of an aircraft it only effects the speed it goes relative to the ground. The way you describe the three blade gyro it sounds like it had pitch control as well this is also not a thing 90% of gyro's poses with most of them being fixed pitch due to the complicated nature of adding a collective pitch system. The only gyro I know of that had both three blades and the ability to change blade pitch is the Gyrhino made by Dick DeGraw and it gained the ability to jump takeoff thanks to those additions.

You fly roughly, with overconfidence, abrupt manoeuvres ! This is risky, specially with a gyrocopter ! Always fly as if there was someone on his/her first ever flight in the back. Don't scare them for the rest of their life !
@@GyroGerald yeah right and let's screw the DMC and all safety rules. I hope you were not the pilot as I would be most disappointed. Incidentally, as I'm not totally unaware of flying, I have an FAA airplane private licence for complex airplanes (Beechcraft Sierra, Cessna 172 RG, Helio Courrier) an helicopter commercial licence, and an helicopter CFI rating. My experience with Magni's is marginal, less than 100 hours, but I have a fair knowledge of what NOT to do with those machines and I'm peassed off when I see this kind of videos.  a gyro goes not have a motor on the rotors so a gyro always flys in autorotation so if tne motor quits then the machine will “of course“ start to desend but it is a controlled landing as long as pilot has cyclic controls. But like airplanes the takeoff is where problems can happen. There are airplanes at this event taking off into the wind fron a stopped position. But i woyld rather be in a gyro if the motor quits because a gyro does not have a stall speed like an airplane
@@rachidluildha2676 another 50 hour expert who has no clue what’s actually happening in the machine. There’s no one segment in this video that is even remotely close to limitations of this gyro
