Thanks for the video. I took a one week class about four months ago and am about to start a job in a couple days and really appreciate how detailed your video was. Definitely helped me with my anxiety level
Nice job with the instructional vid, too bad there aren't many people looking to use these old machines, 207s were here when I came into the field and looks as if they w be here when I leave LoL....Thanks bud.
Though I’ve used the Orbilatum orbitals and they’re still using quadrant style controls so it’s nice to know that the knowledge transfers over but yeah the 207 was a solid platform.
Sir can u explain me how to create weld schedule in 207 A, I mean new program Which is not available in LIB, Tube to tube weld like half inch or quarter inch tube to tube welding,
Hey Steve its Roy we worked togother at dynamic. Im doing orbital welding and would like some help with the programming wondering if you could help me out..thanks
No, it's a through thickness butt joint weld. The interior of the pipe is back purged with Argon gas to stop the formation of oxides, making it smooth and sterile. This is a standard weld in food and pharma applications but the weld itself is through the entire thickness of the pipe wall. I didn't bother with tacking coupons in the demonstration because it was more to show program setup and how to use the two machine types as opposed to doing actual process welds. Trust me, I've done hundreds of field welds with both machines on everything from one inch to four inch tube.
