0811 in Da house.. I attended Ft. Sill O.K. in 1985 i was amongst the 1st all Marine Course of 0800 M.O.S. graduates in the Marine Corp's Staff Sgt. Stillwell Drew the 0811 Mascot now known as "Sgt.Breech-Block" Later I attended Section chief school at Camp Pendleton CA,. As well as another School at Coronado CA that i wont discuss. I became a Gunner after section Chief school as a L,/Cpl. Then later ad a Cpl. I got selected to be a Gun section Chief. I eventually Made Sgt. And then Staff Sgt. And became a P.M.I and a M.C.M.A.P. Black belt instructor trainer . Loved them Years in the Marines Artillery M.O.S. camp Pendleton, 29 PALMS, Okinawa Japan, Korean D.M.Z. Quantico Virginia.. and many other places. Great memories. I miss the Corps all the time SSgt. Calhoun U.S.M.C. (ret) out.
Used to teach this to OBC/OAC classes in Summerall ("Slumber-all") Hall in the early 80s. Even wrote a programmed text on it before I left - no idea if it was ever used...
Black numbers are for when you're looking through the aiming circle into a gun sight. Red numbers are for when you're looking into another aiming circle.
Reciprocal Lay.. for HOWITZERs is when the aiming circle cannot see all of the Panoramic telescopes of the Gun line so the aiming circle will Lay one Gun safely and then That Howitzer and gun chief will then "RECIPROCALLY" LAY the rest of the Gun line Reciprocal Lay in Artillery seems a tad bit different than Mortar Gun section's Is this for 60 mike mike? Or 81s? Or 120 Mike mike...?
