I bought an m3 air with 16gigs of ram and 512ssd. Great machine for my work, I even gamed in the train from Paris to the south of France, without charging it at all. The battery lasted pretty well. little tip if you plan on gaming, deactivate the apple "game mode" from Sonoma, it just creates a lot of glitches and freezes.
One thing I did notice was Apple did a product change on their Macbook Air lineups. Before November 2023 for the M2 Air. You were able to configure the 8-core CPU & 8-core GPU M2 Chip with any amount of storage or memory. Now it forces you to get the 10 core GPU if you want any larger config, even with the new Airs. I got my M2 Air with the 512GB SSD, 24GB Memory and 8-Core GPU model. It saved me a lot of money especially with a trade-in and student discount. Why did Apple change this all of a sudden and force users to pay a premium?
I have one since a few weeks and there is absolutely no heat at all ! As long as you don’t do video editing or things like this, you can literally open all of your apps and have multiples videos running, have an external monitor, work on Word, mails etc, all together, and the MacBook stays metal cold everywhere. 😊 The CPU is at 50 degrees when doing nothing on the computer, and stays at 50 degrees with all these apps opened. That was a bit crazy to witness, coming from a MacBook Pro from 2016, who was going up to 95 degrees with the same workload ! So for such a use, with no artistic work, it really wont affect the temperature at all, it will stay as cold as when it’s turned off !
Bro, I just watched the whole of the battery life section of the video and you didnt mention any numbers or hours, so Im disliking and passing the video. Just letting you know why I did that, maybe you can be a bit more straight forward because this is a review video, not a talkshow…
