great video. this is what i needed. when i unscrewed the copper disc, it unscrewed from the base, not at the nut. i then removed the whole solenoid including the plug at the base of the solenoid so i could push the arm or shaft forward so i could reconnect the spring, washers and nut easier. now that i have it back together, i get a thud instead of a sharper sounding click when i put power to it. my concern is how tight should i make the nut on the copper disc? i assume as tight as is reasonable? i did clean the copper disc and bolts.
