When M3GAN runs on all fours, it’s actually a reference to how in robotics, robots have a hard time running upright without falling over, so most go on all fours to cover ground more efficiently.

I love Ronny Chieng’s performance in this movie. Like, obviously he’s funny, he a stand-up comic. But something about his middle ground between corporate shill and slightly concerned outsider makes his lines and delivery even funnier.

when i went to watch this movie in theatres, me and a man twice my age both gasped when the boy slapped megan, then gave each other the most soulbonding look i've ever given someone in my entire life. movie theatres bring people together :)

Man, I have a lot of trauma from a wintery car wreck. But the fact that they made the wise decision to stop moving forward blindly and STILL were killed made this film extra brutal.

I really like the running thread where Cady turns to tech addiction because the adults in her life fail her. Gemma is both not ready for a child and uses her for her tech, the company is much more focused on using her to make money, the therapist clearly sucks at her job, and even in the opening scene she’s playing her iPad while her parents are arguing (it slso stuck out to me that Cady couldn’t think of a happy memory of her mom, and even her happy memory she finally comes up with involves her mom yelling at her until a spider scares her, which makes me think she might have not had the best relationship with her parents). Even the neighbor cares more about the neighbor feud than stopping her dog from biting people, and the cop does nothing about the bite. Every adult in this movie fails Cady, that’s why she turns to M3GAN. And while M3GAN represents technology, I also think you could see her as representing abuse and addiction as M3GAN gets violent, both things that kids can be exposed to online. M3GAN isn’t just a representation of technology and how kids are always on their damn phones these days, she’s also a pretty good illustration of how neglect pushes kids into unhealthy coping skills. Not just technology addiction, but violence and isolation. I even think M3GAN could serve as a metaphor for how kids turn to abusive online relationships when the adults in their life trust technology to take care of their kids. When I was in middle school in the days of Kik and Omegle, I knew multiple kids who got into unhealthy relationships with predators online because they had bad home lives and people online recognized that and used that to get close to them. M3GAN recognizes when Gemma is a bad guardian and protects Cady, building a bond between them, but when Cady isn’t ready to completely turn her back to Gemma M3GAN turns violent. That’s a pretty good representation of what I saw my friends go through. Anyways, the moral is stop blaming kids for being addicted to tech and blame the adults around them that would rather do anything else accept treat a child like a human being for five minutes Edit: Just realized that even the abusive kid at the camp only attacked Cady because the adults failed her. His mom failed to raise a decent human being and is shown failing to discipline him, while the counselor ignores the obvious red flag of a kid coming up and whispering something like “I don’t want to be with that scary ass kid”, so the counselor puts this kid… with the new girl. All the adults here suck.

James' voiceover is a night-and-day improvement over his first Kill Counts. Not that his earlier voiceovers were bad, but you can tell he's gotten more comfortable and dynamic with his inflections.

M3gan was a good film. M3gan was actually terrifying due to the fact it shows what happens if we don't plan with ai. If not, careful they will go rogue.

When I saw this in theaters, Brandon's death had my jaw firmly on the floor. Not since A Quiet Place have I seen a PG-13 horror movie so unapologetically kill off a kid.

No matter how many times I tune in to this channel I can never get enough of that kickass room that James does the kill counts in, I just LOVE all those awesome props that are set in the background, I know that if I tried to have one of the rooms in MY house like my mother would probably think I was being childish

I just realized that the idea of perpetual pets is kinda the idea of the movie boiled down into a commercial: instead of making a connection with a real living thing (a pet, your parents, your aunt, etc), the commercial encourages kids to treat the toy like a living thing to avoid the potential heartbreak of losing living things. And Gemma and Katie need to discover that letting technology handle things might be easy but it’s not as rewarding as human connection.

Zoran's impersonation of a Silicon Valley "visionary" tech bro CEO absolutely killed me. It killed me like I was that CEO and it was a murderous automata ...except, y'know, more joy-inducing.

M3gan was one of the biggest surprises last year. I didn't expect much from it but it’s was an really fun, surprisingly funny and suspenseful movie

Never forget I went to watch this in theaters solo going in blind (took a social media break so never saw the promo for it) was one of the funniest horror movie I had watched in years

Literally just got to be an extra for M3GAN 2.0 which is exciting. I loved this film and can't wait for the next installment in what I know is going to become a horror classic.

That scene in the woods really shows the amount of time they put into making characters feel real, even side characters. They didn’t have the kid do anything explicit but you can tell he’s mimicking behaviors that happened to him. Even though it’s fictional and a movie, I still get that haunting feeling.

M3GAN was great as a character…Started off with being an advanced tech toy programmed to being Cady’s friend and protector…To being a robo tech killer.

M3gan really opens up the killer doll genre to a younger audience. I like that it does that.

Been watching kill counts for a few years now. Last month I started watching the movies before the count. ( Like a movie recommendation) I didn't think I would like Megan, but was pleasantly surprised. Except for the ear part.

The Boston’s dynamic dog is even creepier when you realize what was once amazing and kinda dorky cute is now being used in to police the border and deployed in war. Kinda crazy how this movie nails the very real “terminator” concept that was only in movies until technology caught up.

Like Killer Klowns, pretty much everything about this film is amazing. And I can’t thank James enough for doing this movie at last!

I am impressed with the work put into Megan, especially with the effects staff not just sticking with one means of portraying the character, allowing the gynoid to stay unnatural.

And on a side note: On Twitter/X there seems to be a rivalry between Chucky and Megan, there was even a slight jab at Megan in the show. I kinda hope in the future we get a silly crossover between the two.

9:05 - If you watch the scene, you notice the dog clearly attempts a killbite on Megan, so it was definitely trying to intentionally kill Cady, and it would have if it was able to pull Cady through as it was trying to do. I have no problem with Megan deciding to kill the dog later.
