Addon to this head canon, any windows in the avian sky palaces have those really bulky cross window supports so it's really obvious when they're closed so folks don't try to fly in and concuss themselves, also they use ceramic for like wine "glasses" because they keep knocking actual glass cups onto the floor

This comment reminds me of the time my 60 yr-old dad slipped and fell on a steep icy hill outside out house at night, yelling profanities on the way down, giving himself a concussion after hitting the ground.
