Happy Easter and enjoy some M4A1 builds in todays video! If you're looking to support the channel check out my merch website atroxco.com Instagrams: mud_gunner & atroxco
You can tell the 16” M4 profile barrels from a mile away by the extra length between the M203 cut and the muzzle device. It’s really noticeable if you’re use to looking at the 14.5’s enough.
Happy Easter and great video! One thing on the URGI build is I would 100% recommend the Geissele Super Precision mount for the Razor HD. I am issued one on my URGI rifle(3/75 - RLTW)and it is the nicest LPVO mount I've ever had. The Razor HD is also a great LPVO. If you want to make your build as close as you can to the Ranger builds(including mine) try adding a bcm grip mounted reverse. A ton of guys I work with do it, and it works great. Also handstops are another great option, and some guys run theirs with no grip at all. Another thing I would recommend is the LA-23 laser. Super good laser, used it on a ton of deployments and I use it on my home defense rifle. On my issued rifle(14.5 URGI) I run it in a combination with an M600V light, a dual pressure pad switch, and two ranger bands that hold down the wires. If you don't want to buy ranger bands you can just use two pieces of electrical tape :)
Thank you for watching and thank you for your service! We currently have the Geissele mount and the Badger Ordnance 1.70 mount in our shop right now. I'm leaning towards the Badger for the taller height because I think the geissele is at 1.54 but I know its a great mount as well! I like the BCM grips and I'm hoping to get the LA-23 one day! I do run lots of surefire lights as well. It'll probably be a minute before my URGI is complete but I like the way you guys run yours!
@@mudgunnerI was in Bco 3/75 at the time, I was issued a Aim point Comp M as a rifle man,and Grenadier, as a fire team leader I got a ACOG TA01, ran a PEQ 4 until 1996 then was issued the Peq2A, knights RIS broom handle, It was a full auto rifle with the govt profile barrel. In 1996 it needed the gas key re tourqued and staked by Mr Ivy out batt civilian armour. Only problem I ever had with it.
Hey man, that’s really cool you’re cloning gwot rifles. Kinda makes a bunch of folks feel old I bet; just wanted say- sometimes you can find some good parts on aimsurplus that might fall into your categories and work out; and with your surefire light- unfortunately if I remember right- that my ir cover didn’t work when I bought that led conversion head. Took it back to the px and put the 3 cell incandescent lamp in it and could get usable throw for a short distance with cover. I think I still have that light, and I could check it later if you need. I’m sure someone will help out with the right answer. Cheers
Thank you for watching! Someone else did mention that the IR probably won’t work but I don’t mind. This is not a gun I plan on using under night vision
Any chance you could send me the picture of your uncles rifle. Also, could you ask him if there are any pictures of the M4A1 Block 1 with and without the suppressor mounted.
Other than the weight of the DD quad ris ii, are there any advantages over the urgi? Brownells had the urgi $300 off so I scooped it up. But I do like the ris ii and even the ris iii because a near new full DD with the ris ii was $1500. For modern usage isn’t the urgi more… proper than the ris ii quad? The weight but pict mount accessories are more prominent.
The DD is carbine length gas where the URGI I believe is mid length which should lead to a little less recoil/gas in theory. And the barrel profiles may be a little different also.
