Damm... This is shown to be very easy. I made the same piece in my lathe cnc with a contour. I 'll tell u that was very difficult to programming it and cut it. It was 20 pieces and take 5 min to end the lathe job and 2 hour per piece for contour to end the job.
Nice Machine. Who has a machine like that in Canada,Ontario. I would like to have a worm cut with a 2.087 od with a .750 id 15/16 pitch 2 start left hand worm. Id has a 3/16" key way to drive the work piece. 1.375 inches long
WOW! As a former "wormcutter" this is nice to see, i´ve both turned, milled and grinded worms at Benzlers. Truly a nice machine you have got there, wish the one i worked at had been like that. So fast milling and no pre centering when finishing. What are the tolerances over the worms after finishing? Thanx for posting.
