@@maxdurk4624 video games catered to teens and adultd especially if it's an fps should be politically correct (unlike battlefield 5) and be to an extent realistic
Definitely not The Phantom of the Opera To an extent. I dont think its game ruining to have all the launchers make you slow for balance reasons lol. In real life LMGs are light.
@subclonk Conversely, there has emerged a thriving indie scene on the PC, arguably as a direct result of consoles becoming the prime platform for the big-budget games. I will agree that the xbox tech is starting to look a little long in the tooth, and I'm hoping the next gen pushes the bounds for all platforms to enjoy, but there are some innovations being made on the console side of things - Kinect etc. spring to mind. Besides, cutting-edge graphics don't always make for a good game.
XboxAhoy, I must commend you for the great amount of work you put into these videos. It shows your talent and passion for this game. The amount of detail you put into these videos are amazing. I wanna thank you for sharing this with us.
one of the greatest "FUCK THIS CAMPER!" weapons in the game. I remember all to often having to switch to a class with this when no one else bothered to kill some annoying aircraft, I preferred it over the stela-3 because you could still have its lock on feature combined with the free fire use of the RPG, the ammo difference was sure annoying until you had scavenger pro though....
@BerzerkGazelle If I'm honest I've never downed a heli without locking on - I don't trust my aim enough. I presumed it would be possible to launch an unguided rocket prior to lock (as with the AT4 in MW2) - but I could be wrong.
MrGumbwit He meant in Real Life you couldn't reload it, and either way, Blue Packs DON'T resupply rockets or Grenade Launcher ammo. Like danny said, Scavenger Pro gives you an extra starting rocket.
+MrGumbwit In the game you do not reload it. presumably, you pick up an entirely new disposable unit inside of the blue bag; discarding your spent case and drawing up a fresh one that you had handy.
I honestly can't get enough of these weapon guides - the useful information, the awesome voice - it's great. Hell, I'm a bit of a Sony fanboy and I subscribed to "XboxAhoy." Just goes to show you how much these videos rock. Keep 'em coming! Thanks. :)
@subclonk Crytek are a bad example, they compete on bleeding edge tech (at least in the case of Crysis), which limits their market. There have been some lazy xbox ports, undeniably so - but the consoles aren't entirely to blame. PC gaming isn't in its rudest health at the minute - DRM, piracy, and the superior market offered by the consoles render them less economically viable. But, this is in flux and we will see improvements in the future.
you do this to me everytime. each time i see one of your videos i change up my class. hope the law is as effective as you say it is in objective game modes. keep it up stuart, can't wait for the commando review!
@TheRagingPenguin Something like that. 42 weapons times 25 hours work per episode puts this series at about 1,000 man-hours, which is the equivalent of 25 weeks full time work.
Very, very nicely done. I like how you give a brief history of the weapon, compare the ingame version with the real-life version, and then give some tips about how to use it.
Surprisingly, every single time I watch one of these videos, it makes me want to play the game using the weapon that particular video was about. Anyone else experience this?
Just gotta give you props. Best thing I have seen and packed with fun and useful info. Actually, best I have seen when it comes to any game. Looking forward to the next one.
Dear XboxAhoy, I only have these few words for you which i and most would probably agree with... YOU ARE THE ULTIMATE WEAPONS, PERKS, AND STRATEGY GUIDE FOR MODERN WARFARE 2 AND BLACK OPS PLAYER. Props.
I love the humours subtle clips in these videos. Last time you talked about luck playing a massive factor outside of point blank range with ASP dual wield as you got pistol perfectionist with them (sick) and at 4:38 as you mentioned having to rely on team mates all too often, your team get owned haha
Love these videos :D, just one thing though - the air drop helicopter is not a Chinook, it's a Sea-knight as it has only one nose wheel and shorter side pods. The Chinook has never looked like that for any one who disagrees.
You did 2 yesterday? Guess i missed it due to time-zone issues. I LOVE the background infor you give. Helps "get into the game" if you catch my drift. Keep em up!
The last line was my favorite. I fully expect to hear it in some action movie in the future. I love me some cheesy one-liners. ^_^ Also, well done all around. The most instructive bit for me was "taking out turrets" thing, which I hadn't thought of before. Ghost + LAW is a sketchy proposition since you'll just get the one rocket, but it'll be good option for unlocking Ghost Pro.
@subclonk The progressive DRM offered by Steam, and the burgeoning indie scene on the PC are shining examples of the future of PC gaming. More will follow in their path soon enough.
@XboxAhoy Lay down the LAW LMFAO dude you gained a new sub. I've loved your videos for awhile but that you're still doing these incredibly high quality vids despite the time it takes you need rewarding. If you aren't, you should be paid to do this
You pretty much nailed the reason why I use the LAW. It's pretty damn versatile in the fact you can tackle both infantry and aircraft. I like keeping my choices open. :)
where r u from? does everyone sound like u? i love the way u say patent and ur voice is so soothing, its deep but not too deep, soft yet firm haha, love ur guides! keep up the good work!
For those of you fretting over it, the class he uses for the M72 LAW is: Skorpion Extended Mags, M72 LAW, Frag, Concussion, C4, Scavenger Pro, Sleight of Hand Pro, Ninja Pro.
I been a subscriber for awhile now...or at least since near the end of MW2. But I like your Black Ops assessments much better than the previous MW2 assessements and the MW2 series was pretty good so....keep up the good work. I can't wait for your guide on the rest of the pistols as well as the MPL and Spectre subs. However, my most eager to hear is your LMG topics.
You make the best black ops and modern warfare 2 weapons guide videos! Please do the Kiparis SMG from black ops. I just started using the Kiparis and was surprised by how powerful it was.
@XboxAhoy You took out the suggested perks! Although Scavenger and Sleight of Hand were mentioned, you didn't mention the third perk. (and I miss seeing the graphics of the too lol) Really Good Job Though, like always!
