@@angelamagnus6615 yeah but it seems that for the first and last few seconds the smoke doesn’t go high enough to be adequate cover (besides maybe crawling). It’s definitely nothing like the movies, lol
@@SvSGaming yeah but the guy misplaced the camera Imo, we can't see how the smoke screen is doing on the left, probably the smoke went higher there and behaved differently in those time frames you referred to.
When the smoke started to fill the air it's less than we expected not in a video game like instantly smoke but it takes time to fully have large amount of smoke
up until now, i have only seen Flashbangs and Frag Grenades work irl through vids and not just games like CoD or BF. This is extremely sick tho for an M83 Smoke Grenade
I once used one of these in purple to mark an LZ for extraction. The UH-1 pilot was kind enough to inform me that I had set the LZ on fire. Small brush fire. Good times! (Wistful expression)
You can make one just as good at home. Mix equal parts sugar and tree stump remover. I think its potassium nitrate. Melt some candle wax in a pot and put in the powder. The wax makes it burn slower. Put it in a metal tube, cover one end and that's it. Look it up on youtube. I wouldnt light it if you live in the city. I live out in the country and even then I was afraid someone would call the fire department.
So a smoke grenade will not provide a cover when it popped outside. Huh. I remember we used huge smoke canisters (size of a bucket) at the army to get some cover. Was wondered why don't we simply use a smoke grenade. Now i see why....
What's the purpose of smoke grenades in the military or when a war between countries happen? Is it just used for a search and rescue where if a high profiled noble gets lost and someone finds him and he used a smoke grenade to alert his teammates, is that it? Or do people use smoke grenades in a buy bust operation where the druggies are inside the building and you guys throw a smoke grenade inside the building to force them out? Last question, are smoke grenades really used for cover or is it just useless when a large scale war or a terrorist attack happens? Please enlighten me on this subject.
@@azrael4457 well okay. From my experience in army, we only used smoke grenades for signaling use. Not only for helicopters to find a location from above, but also for other infantries too. Long-range radio is only for platoon leader or any officers above, so normal soldiers need to signal with those grenades or short-range pagers. If we really need smoke screen, we do have smoke shells, which can fired from field artillery or mortars. that provides decent smoke cover. *never thought it can draw out the druggies, because normally you will be just fine inside of those smoke. We have tear gas for that usage.
A more effective smoke screen we made as kids 40 years ago was a mixture of 1/4 saltpeter 3/4 sugar, slow electric cook, pour into empty can, throw a few match on it as a wick, dry over night....1 small soda can half filled will envelope the whole neighborhood in seconds LOL curious creatures - we experimented with nitrogen triiodide - stable when wet, explosive when dried. Ahahah when drying it out we blew on it to dry it out faster (we were impatient young bucks) and small, tiny speckles got on us - we were popping all kinds - and those lil specks hurt Ahahahah - took multiple showers 1) to stabilize it, finding reprieve 2) hoping to wash it off Ahahaah
