I don't know if anyone will ever see this, but I just feel kinda lost and alone. This song perfectly captures what I'm feeling right now. No purpose, no goal. Just stuck in a point in my life and I can't seem to get out of. I'm just stuck with myself. But yeah, I guess that's how life goes and that's how humans get to grow from their experiences. I do have dreams, but I'm scared of pursuing them. Scared that I'll never be able to make them come true. But in general I'm grateful for what I already have and I don't want be seen as someone who's complaining. Cause I'm not, I just feel lost and alone right now. I lost my mother 1 year ago. It's incredible how we only appreciate it when we lose, she is greatly missed by me, her illness was devastating and when I heard this song I remembered her. I will always love you mom and one day we will meet. Today I only have emptiness and longing left

three years since my dad passed away. And I still feel the pain inside my heart. I don’t know how long it will take for me to heal ..

Last November, my grannie called me over to her house. When I got over there, she told me it was her time to go. The next night, my dad called me and told me to come back over to her house. She was laying peacefully in her bed with her eyes barely open. She whispered it was her time to go a few more times. While I watched her, I noticed how beautiful her skin was glowing. It looked perfect. She was 93. Then she said thank God every day you have in this life and ask for forgiveness. She said all she wanted was her family to love each other and be happy. She was passing on to another place. She kinda gasped but it wasn’t that she couldn’t breathe. She was seeing things that was taking her breath away and it was the most emotional thing I’ve experienced. Then she said, “Mama!” My great grand mother has been dead for years. Then she pointed up and said in a rather loud voice, “I’m going home!!” I’m so thankful I got to share that with her. It was the day after my birthday that she died.

This video to me is about disassociation from trauma. Being a child of trauma, missing big chucks of my memories, my life, this video is the closest thing I have found to what it was like. One part of me was walking through a life of violence, and one part of me was someplace else, in a place of peace. I felt like I was all of the people in the video, the man getting beaten, the girl walking in a daze, the boy in 3G trying to hang on for dear life, and feeling like I was broken into pieces. This video I added to my website as the missing years of my life. Thank you for putting this out for me to find. Thank you for speaking about things in which there are no words.
