Ohh I see, I misread. The one thing I will say about him is he doesn’t seem as modern in his playing style. Like modern defenders are also excellent attackers today (Ruwen Filus is a good example).
The negative comments against a modern defender style are, of course, ridiculous. Its weak? Not exactly- perhaps at the pro level its not quite as viable, but that might have something to do with the fact that it is never taught. At the lower levels? Effective, without question. Look at table tennis training videos- just here on RU-vid and tell me how many defensive styles you see being taught. Very few if any. And its a boring style to watch? You know what is boring? Attack players who serve, and hit one shot after and the point is over. Now thats boring.
So you are speaking for everybody? I agree that people want to see good rallies, and for me at least, that means more than service and one return. Thanks.
ah but, if more returns = one chopper + one attacker, it doesn't get very exciting if compared to both being aggressors. And what have you been watching that only has one service one return? Most matches are quite competitive in this high level league.
Zazen forever correct. I play games in my area and I have never won against a chopper. My hurricane 3 and Stiga clipper blade just can’t deal with it. Or it’s just that I suck.
It's proof that no matter how good one is at defense, you're doomed with ML, especially when you can't even switch to offense mode when given the opportunity.
