This was a great battle!!! Even IF Memphis execution was perfect, I think MAAB still would have taken this because they kept calling poor selections. The same songs and energy from last week would have KILLED MAAB.
Battle had a lot of high energy but both groups need fine tuning. Good but not great and that is ok. Still have time left in the summer to get that seasoned summer sound as a group.
Mmb Screwed Up Major At The End i agree but is that really a reason to say they took a L? Mmb clearly won on the field. Maab was LOUD but Tempo was Awful and mellophones sound like they were raping monkeys every song with terrible trumpet hangovers. Maab BTones in front was overkill! There was no balance! The stands saved Maab because the band was able to hide behind the baritones. MMB was More Musical and Balanced! MMB Wins By Slight Edge! I Expect the HOME Band to be LOUD BUT Memphis Was More Musical and I See They Even Added New Tunes. MMB vs Gamb vs MAAB vs Noasb Battle Can Only Determine The Summer Kingz.
Dam Memphis 😂 that’s two losses in a row. First NOASB now MAAB… yall should be ashamed of yourselves doing all that MF talking and hype and got smashed twice! smh 👎🏾
There is nothing wrong with multi band battles. The problem is that there was no organization/plan on what the order should be and should be certain rules in place if a band is still playing. But I feel you though!!!
@@Funk_Reactions i enjoy multi band battles but I think being introduced to 1v1 city vs city adds a little extra pride and intensity to the battle imo. Kinda hard to get into the battle with the bands you really wanna see when it’s multi bands and (not to hurt anybody’s feelings) bands you really aren’t interested in or bands who can’t really hang. I think this type of event should end the summer but i still love independence however just after the last three summers of specifically getting the battles we want felt like some structure was coming into summer band and it was about to get even more interesting.
This was definitely a pretty intense battle. Like two monsters fighting for dominance. It’d be great if we had this level of intensity in 5ths during the season on a regular basis.
Y’all are some kind of slow, I know that! Dang, I can’t show love to the school I went to. Yall too old to be catching feelings on RU-vid. I didn’t hate on nobody… I’m from Greenville, I have peeps that played in all of the Sipp schools, too early for foolishness…
I am giving it to MAAB in the stands for the same primary two reasons I gave it to NOASB last week. 1. Memphis is just making way too many BAD and noticeable mistakes. And they are making more mistakes this battle then they did at home. 2. MAAB has more power and intensity. P.S. this is the first time in the history of summer band I have seen some content creators and even some folks in the comments try to give a band(Memphis) the W over another band that was clearly cleaner and executed better with the flawed opinion that they deserve the win because they have better arrangements. Lol. I don't care how complex or good an arrangement unless the opposing band is playing high school level arrangements you can't get the W if you can't play it without a bunch of mistakes. Decent battle. Directors please stop running back songs when your players like tired. You are actually making it more likely for y'all to mess up.
Man. Arrangements got so much going on in them these days. I think that contributes to the basic mistakes being heard. MMB took the L on this one, though.
For the first two rounds MMB is cleaner and more balanced. MAAB is stronger and has more difficult arrangements, but has way mocre missed notes and bad pitches.
I must be getting old and out the band game , but Who the hell are these programs ? Are they just having a loud blow fest ? All I see and hear is dudes waiting for the loud whole note parts lol
Both bands had tempo, cutoff, and attack issues throughout the performance. Evening that out best case sound for both bands I have MMB with the edge. Better balance and blend. Slight edge to MAAB on some of the arrangements. Overall good battle, but not great. 🤷🏾♂️
@@17thwboy I never said they didn’t. I stated both bands had issues from top to bottom, and they did. MMB flubbing their last song doesn’t automatically make them worse or give anyone else a W. That type of thinking leads us down the wrong path of judging and grading bands. So still I ask…where was I wrong in my initial opinion?
@@DKTheMac when you make a mess up like that it literally does make them worse and give them a L. lol you can't completely fall apart at a festival and somehow still get a superior rating. You can't completely fall apart and beat a band that didn't...
@@A1MediaBands oh wow they got very small. They still sound good for their size however it’s not fair to them when you have other bands playing over them. They should have had rules in place. Well hopefully the organizers learn from this.
