For something completely different, this is my ride footage from a trip around the Long X Loop, my favorite section of the Maah Daah Hey trail. The Long X Loop is an 11 mile, multi-directional loop, that starts at CCC Campground near Watford City, ND. It features big climbs, big descents, incredible views and is a tremendous way to take in the Badlands on bike, foot or horse.

I was hating the Long X loop as I was dragging my butt and pushing my bike up that climb at the end of the MDH 100 last year. I may see it more favorably another time, but it does not have a pleasant place in my brain right now 😂

I can't argue with the brutality of the loop in that circumstance lol

I rode my trainer while watching your video last night. It reminded me that there was a great sense of satisfaction associated with the Long X loop when I was finished with those hard climbs. I relived the miles when I knew that I was going to finish well below my targeted time. It was actually quite encouraging.
