Halfway through this episode on Spotify, and I have to say - this man might be one of the most dynamic and interesting yes I've seen. Talk about subverting your expectations! The thing about joe is that hes not a politically biased platform (at least for the most part of from what I see), but absolutely in the sense that he gives every perspective a podium from which to speak their story.
I grew up in the same area as Maajid. I was close friends with some of his friends and I've even played basketball with him as a teenager. He was an acquaintance rather than a friend. I was playing ball one day at the park opposite his family's shop. He came over with a teenager that he'd caught stealing from the shop. The basketball court was busy as it was a popular spot. Maajid didn't call the cops. He told everyone there that this guy was a thief and to remember his face. Once he'd finished doing that he then gave this guy a life lesson in choices and consequences in front of us all. Maajid could have only been maybe 17 or 18. He always gave off an air of being a thinker and deeper than almost any other young person around.
Like Joe said at the end of this interview, I could listen to another 15 of these 3 hour interviews. And love that Maajid had receipts for literally everything he said. Worse thing about this was it finishing, so much insight and intelligence really blew my mind

Just finished listening to the podcast on Spotify. What an eye-opening episode. Incredibly informative. No wonder Spotify took so long to release it. I believe It would have been helpful to drop before Trudeau implemented emergency powers. I think this show has the power to influence public opinion enough to have had created push back on that nonsense.
