I am very grateful for the match, thank you so much for giving me this opportunity. You are an amazing armwrestler and most definitely a legend in our sport. Thank you again
Good to hear from you Uncle Todd! Big Matt would of ticked it off his bucket list pulling you. What an honour! I am Maori(Indigenous to New Zealand) The same as Maateiwarangi. We're taught to respect our Elders, Or else! Lol. So I'm glad he treated you accordingly.
An honour to have you at our event. You're a complete professional and handled all aspects of your trip with pure class. All of us were incredibly excited to meet you in person and it was fantastic of you to hang around after the event to chat with the fans. I see all their pictures with you on my Facebook and it was like a dream come true getting to meet you. Well done on the win and hope to see you again in the future :D
Congratulations Toddzilla!! Awesome match with Mattei!! I’m pretty sure you’re not alone with your pronunciation of his name. I know most of the United States and probably s good portion of Australia says it differently. Also I definitely use inches/ feet as do most people I know, I know A.W. Likes the metric system, I think because your dealing with small measurements. I’m from upstate New York, so I use the American customary system, as do most Americans. It’s what you learn and are taught growing up. Thank you for sharing your experience, incredible match! Can’t wait to see what’s next!! Take care Toddzilla!!
Great to hear you got the W in your first match back on the international scene in awhile. Best of luck in your upcoming match against John, can’t wait to finally see that one!💪🏼
He has a powerlifing background I do belive. I can kind of see why he might be afraid to commit to certain situations because lifters tend to be more risk averse, and worry more about injuries related to form. In arm wrestling you can't be like that as much because you have to be strong in really awkward positions, and stuff. I think Larry Wheels runs into that a lot. He doesn't commit as hard to certain movements as he could because of risk of injury. Sometimes you just have to test your frame though, and as you said he has a big one
Hey todd, I know you have a match with John soon, just wanted to ask ya, how about a match with you vs engin? That would test him out a lot better then student ray did.. love ray, but I think we need a toddzilla vs the enigma of rage..
Great match Toddzilla! Really looking forward to your match with John Brzenk. Legacy match right there. John said on his live yesterday that winner will pull Ongarbaev at East v Weat.
It seems that all the refs cheat against us overseas.Hometown favorites always own the refs.I used to watch the Pride Fighting Championships from Japan, and if any American didn't knock the Japanese guy out, and the fight was anywhere near close, they would award the victory to the Japanese fighter. If they are going to play that way, we should not even pull them there, they can come pull us here.Maybe half the time there, and half here.If their refs cheat, ours can cheat back. I remember Jerry Cadorette telling the judges his elbow is off the pad, like 2 times, then he started screaming for Engin. When Jerry called for Engin, the ref finally called the foul. It's bullshit, but the hometown advantage can't be denied, it happens all the time.
nice work against someone so big, kiwis are great people good sense of humour, by the way Americans are still living in the dark ages with the imperial system, need to join the 21st century
I'm Canadian and I use both pretty regularly as each system has its upsides IMO. For example, I'm a plumber and I measure in imperial because it makes the most sense. Ft/inches much simpler than m/cm/mm. However, I prefer temp in metric cause it also makes more sense to me. Water boils at 100, freezes at 0, pretty simple.
Todd Hutchins, i am not putting words in your mouth but you said that a strong muscle/movement is less likely to get injured. So wouldnt it have been advantageous if you had stronger biceps so it would have gotten less likely to injure them, even if they are not really relevant to armwrestling directly as you said.
Yes lol, a shit tonne of armwrestlers who don't directly train biceps have bicep tears, a shit tonne of strongman competitors who don't train biceps also have bicep tears, yet for some odd reason these people think biceps are not important to train. You know what isn't important, getting majorly injured lol.
man, gutted this divide is happening with the contracts, i understand those pullers rather shut up and take the money, but long term this monopoly is not good for the sport. Greedy orgs taste money and seem to not ever learn from the past. But a bigger fish can appear and offer more than the athletes will be crying that they are held up by coresports. The moral of the story is, many private tournaments existed and then ceased to exist, so will be the case with coresports. Everything has a beginning and an end. And I feel AWE will grow into a cool multicultural event that will make everybody jealous just for the sheer diversity they will showcase over that part of the world.
Congrats..💪🥳nice win..especially style wise against a kings mover ..sorry you lost your Zurab match..I don’t think it’s a tear in the spacetime continuum(🙄yeah just as bad as yours..)...🤘saw you after your win, nothing better than a cold one🍺(non 🇺🇸😉)...
