I was at Balboa Pier in Newport, CA and it was just mackerels galore! Sea lions got in on the action and started stealing the fish. I don't blame em...macks are tasty!

They are Pacific Mackerel actually. They look like sardines but they are a California speciality. Very oily but very tasty. I fry them and steam them and keep them in oil. Very good!

@@markyamato2120 they are very aggressive so live bait works well but I was catching them with iron...Shimano colt snipers. So much fun!
