macOS 11 just came out, and since it not only featured a full redesign (like losing the traditional dialog for a more modern modal style), but new audio, I decided it was time to update the old macOS Crazy Error with the expertise I've gained since then. Creating the audio for this video might've been the hardest out of any of my other videos. Most of the sounds are out of place, and in my opinion not mac (?). It's as if the macOS 11 design team went through 10 different Linux distros and picked a sound from each. Like, for instance, all the Windows 10 sounds feel like they come from the same thing. Even the older macOS sounds had a mac feeling to them, but these just don't fit at all. Not to mention they were all too long. I had to overuse the basso sound because it was the only sound that fit within a 1/16 of a beat without cutting off the sound completely.
Sounds aside the OS itself looks very pretty when transparency effects are enabled. I had to disable them because macOS 11 now uses a faux-stained glass look similar to Microsoft's Fluent Design language, and creating that in Animate alone would be impossible. Probably more possible in After Effects, but would take me a year to figure out.
macOS 11 (or atleast this design) is going to be the future of the Mac, and it looks like a good base. It's like Apple took what Microsoft wanted to do with Windows 10 in 2015 and did it now, but somehow better?
