I remember my mom telling me that she was there in Hogan High school 1989 when Dre Performed that song because that song "Too hard for the Radio was everything in Vallejo, and still is till this day and she also says Mac Dre was so popular that everybody knew he was next up Rip to the late Great Mac Dre
I produced this event with the Senior Class at Hogan. As Class President, trust me, it was a BATTLE to produce the first successful talent show Hogan had had in years...At the end of the night, after Andre won and got his prize money, he was soooo happy. Our Hogan Gospel Choir came in 2nd and I have to look at my notes to see who got 3rd. We knew it was an epic night.

You might remember that my rather bad gothic/punk band played this. A few days later, I ran into Andre in the parking lot of a Vallejo record store. He gave me his tape and said "Good luck with the scary music shit!"
