I know . its fucking sad. the crazy thing is that i didnt really start listening to his art or following him in any way until after he died. then once i realized his genius and his genuine personality. he reminded me of a spirit with the likes of johnny cash or someone who was honest like that. guy was a great dude and I feel a profound loss knowing that this man isnt walking the earth anymore. I am a skeptic but i truly hope that there is a God and that he is taking care of Mac Miller. Cheers. :) *CARPE DIEM*
I failed to kill myself the day be died, and then came back and found out he died. I almsot felt responsible at the time. I also felt like his sould dripped into mine. I'm a musician and was going through a break up with someone who was my main musical inspiration, the best songwriter I'll ever meet. One of my favorite artists.
Unfortunately, i didnt get into his music till he passed but im glad i did. This young man had music in his veins. you hear people say that about other artists but this man was the true meaning of having music in his blood. He was definitely talented
I'm late 30's. So weird to discover a young artist like this after he moved on. He most definitely is a super interesting artist. First time really getting into rap music too. I was into punk-rock for the most part of my life. Lol (aside from some Tupac when I was young).
man i have chills watching this... mac your departure left a void on everything and i don't think anyone will ever be able to fill that gap; you were a true artist through and through... young, talented and full of life and i just keep coming back to your videos. i really miss you
This Gave me chills!! I've never seen this before and I'm a die-hard Mac fan. I miss that man more than life. In ANOTHER life, I wish we could have been REAL friends in REAL life. I feel like I could have helped him. Breaks my heart daily. I STILL can't open my "Circles" CD. Prob NEVER will. RIP to the brother I never had. 😇😭💔😭😭💙💙💙💙
You living it up in Thug Mansion with rest of the Musicians that have left this place. So your music will live to eternity fo us to blaze up2.blow smoke to reminisce while we bump to ur beats.
Never really listened to him until Circles came out, my buddy told me to listen and I listened to it like 3 times in a row, I then deep dived through all his albums and projects I could find on Spotify and sound cloud, watched all the interviews and live shit on RU-vid. Spotify wrapped 2020 had him as my number 2 most listened to artist, love everything he put out. RIP Mac
Beginner guitar songs or not, he was born with musical talent. I was never a big fan until I saw this. He's got chops. Any established musician can tell. Even seeing it for the first time on terrible video. RIP
Take it easy buddy. He was a kid when this was filmed. Literally a kid. Listen to his new work. Far, far past “beginner”. And 10000 light years better than you right now.
Greg Anderson I’m sorry :( I get defensive over the dude. I see a lot of cruel people spewing hate to Mac since he’s passed. I jumped the gun and misread your comment. That’s my fault.
Dave John Hahaha, Jesus. OP literally took as it easy as a Staple’s button. Maybe you should learn to take it easy, buddy. Glad you apologized though. RIP Mac 🙏🏼
Rip mac, it still feels like a nightmare. My all time favourite rapper. We will be listening to your music till we join you in afterlife. Hope to see this live there
see mac wasn't a player though - he was a reinventor of the game. of himself and music. and he took us along on his journey. he's had a huge influence, not just on the industry and music (and fashion) but perhaps even more on people's personal lives. also definitely one of the best artists of all time. he never had to try or force anything, his music happened. he makes hard pills less tough to swallow - he delivers heavy messages in a digestible way, he constantly reinvented himself and his style, always kept working and growing and stayed true to himself. he never changed for the good of the industry. so crazy talented (and so versatile), with such a high drive and ambition. one dream- make music and make a living of it. and _live_ that dream. - alexa - play 2009 by mac miller. a god damn tragedy he was able to truly live it for so shortly. sorry for writing an essay.
I’m not into rap at all , I like alice I’m chains R.V.S The loud nasty singers. And he lacks all of that. But he seemed super down to earth and like he really just like to amuse people. I like the session he does with the piano and what notnin front of the t.v I like the distortion and he seemed to put everything into it. It was almost an off pitched all in approach backed by super smooth music
liked him before, but unfortunately i didn't get really into his music until afterwards. as sad as his passing was i'm glad he was able to taste the amount of success he did achieve. the world truly lost a special soul. watching him enjoy performing that much really makes me emotional.
Fuck drugs dude. Especially fentanyl. That shit killed one of the brightest motherfuckers to ever be in hip hop. It’s fucking hard considering it’s been a year and 3 days exactly since he passed. I didn’t even really follow him until he passed and I still regret that. R.I.P Mac.
he was real from the beginning honest real and just 100 % himself and people feel that he gave his heart and soul to give us the best music he could make and in return we gave him our hearts because we love an artist that puts us before themselves this man wholeheartedly wanted to help save the world lets not let him down
The only song I ever heard of his was a cover.. loved it "first day of my life".... I was driving on freeway when I heard he died about a month ago. Mom was reading news online. Decent guitar player. Never heard his rap.....
Seeing famous musicians around my age like Mac and Avicii die in their prime is so surreal. It’s easy to feel invincible when you’re young, but then deaths like theirs mind you that mortality can come knocking for everyone.
I was wondering why Noel Gallagher gave him a shout out when Mac died....is this the reason why? I used to bump macs shit from 2010-2015 then I just stopped listening to rap altogether. ...now i am just playing all his old stuff...I'm sorry bro for what you went through... rest easy
jason bourne I believe it was Liam that shouted him out, not Noel. I showed Liam the wonderwall cover. Evidently they were friends sort of. They met up a few times
think it was Liam. they knew each other. Liam saw Mac in 2014 and told him he was a mental cunt lol. which from Liam is probably a bit more endearing than it sounds
Still don’t get it. I miss this guy so much and I’ve never even met him. I’m here 8 months after his passing finding any video of his that puts a smile on my face and tears in my eyes. I miss you Mac. So damn much. You were a special person, legends never die bro. Hope I get to meet you in the afterlife....
P.S. I never watch the Grammys and I had them on this year because I was rooting for you to win rap album of the year. You won in my eyes but it is what it is. But every time I hear Cardi B I have to change the station or skip that shit lol. It makes me think of you not winning and pisses me off. Just thought I’d share lol
Been a fan and a freind for years I miss him daily and only wish he was still here Mac gave me hope for future music and was a breath of fresh air compared to other artist I feel his absence and only wish things were different love you bro , rest easy Mac ❤️💯
If you didn't know. His father was a musician, so evidently, he learned after his father. Perfect example of judging a book by its cover. Talking without knowledge, is nothing but noise.
mac before passing but for some reason never saw this vid. thanks mang eventhough my mom hella chiill. you can tell the youth and the love for music. stay underrated mac. the suckahs that dont know do not deserve your passion. its hard to accept the passing of time, but time has never existed. play on playa.
love this shit.. i got to chill with him before his show in columbus.. it took me a minute to even notice it was him because he just looks like another fuckin kid in the room!!! great show
Ok dude has got my respect. The rappin no anyone can rap and be famous if hooked up with a good producer but when Mac played that guitar the by far is a true musician. Playing an musical instrument is real music dude has talents some rappers don't have and and is good real good.
Wow, just because you don't like rap doesn't mean they aren't artist as well. But even then I can clearly see all the fake Mac fans, Mac new how to play instruments since he was a little kid, he knows how to play piano as well
Han Solo Dude you missed that whole message let me break it down to where you can understand it. First of all I like rap old school rap young man. I grew up listening to Doug E. fresh Kool Moe Dee I remember when gansta rap came out I can school you about hiphop history up and down young man I'm 41 yrs old. Now with that said boy what I was trying to get too was anyone can rap but it takes an artist to cut a record. But true musicians are hard to come by Mac Miller is a true musician and he can rap. the man has real talent. He has my respect that's all I was saying so. But since you think you know real hiphop I will quiz you from the old school my school. Who are the Fat Boyz, Curtis Blow,The Cookie Crew, UTFO, EPMD, Eric B and Rakim, Big Daddy Cane, Slick Rick, Dana Dane,Sugar Hill Gang, Third Bass,Everlast, Kool Moe Dee, KRS 1, Name all the members of NWA. Who is D.O.C. I can go on.
If you cannot tell me about one old school rapper you my friend do not know hiphop. These are the godfathers of hiphop without them THERE BE NO HIPHOP PERIOD. I will school you some more hiphop was never played on mainstream radio like it is now. RUN DMC teamed up with Steven Tyler from Aerosmith to perform walk this way which is Aerosmith song. That's how hiphop went mainstream Darrel Mcdanials and Joseph Simmons along with their D.J. Jam Master J made all that possible. I can school you some more young man. Like who was to first to rap or talk in rhymes The Sugar Hill Gang was not the first they are the first to make it an musical art form but not the first to rhyme. But since you know everything you tell me who was I all ready know. So I leave you with this rhyme from the old school tell me who said..... I ASSUME YOUR DOOM WHEN YOU STEP IN THE ROOM I'LL BE THE WITCH AND YOU'LL BE THE BROOM. I'LL RIDE YOU, GUIDE YOU INTO THE CONCRETE, THEN I'LL SLIDE YOU TO A FUNKY BEAT.
HEY YOU OVER THERE I KNOW ABOUT YOUR KIND. YOU SOUND LIKE THE INDEPENDENT NETWORK CHANNEL 9. EVERYWHERE THAT YOU GO NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE AT, I SAY YOU TALK ABOUT THIS AND YOU TALK ABOUT THAT. WHAT THE CAT GOT YOUR TONGUE I SAID YOU TOOK IT RIGHT BACK YOU MOUTH IS SO BIG SO BY YOURSELF A BIG MAC. Tell me the name the the artist and the song it came from.
Carlos Rogers you're are I error my friend being an excellent rapper is like any other art must be skilled, thoughtful well studied to be adept at it. Anyone can rhyme and there are tons of players in the rap world. #DJQuik #Pharrell # Wyclef #AndersonPaak just to name a few
