Mac miller was a very intelligent individual, sadly drugs get the best of us. Doing drugs is the dumbest thing we can dedicate ourselves to. I was once an addict but got away from that. Over time we start to lose things such as motive, concentration, family, friends and money. But most importantly we lose ourselves because we adjust to that lifestyle.
I am a 46 year old mother of an 18 and 15 year old. Three years ago, I took them their friends on a road trip. And they introduced me to this song. It had such a catchy tune that I had to pretend I was appalled but really I've always loved it and listen to it all the time when they are not around. When they came home from going out tonight and told me about this, I have to say I was really upset. Even as an old lady
Oh man you got along to catch up on. It’s so sad. Faces was so good but so depressing. You could pretty much see it coming. When he dropped Swimming I knew it was coming 😔
@@beefarlee fuck bro. It’s so depressing. Thankfully we have a ton of music but man. I love this man more than myself sometimes. I’m not even that depressed but whenever I’m upset I always play his shit and it instantly cheers me up
@@willcarroll9762 same here, thinking about it makes my chest feel hollow. I try to turn it into a positive, it’s so hard sometimes though! And it’s weird cuz I never got to meet him... but I know a lot of people felt the same way which makes me feel better. ♥️ much love, most dope
It blows my mind how good this song is and how great Mac's body of work was. By 2010, I had shunned popular music entirely and started to drive backwards through Stevie Wonder's albums, The Smiths, Duran Duran, The Isley Brothers, Public Enemy etc. Mac's music is the best cache of tunes I have landed on since GTA V debuted 7 years ago.
Same...This song hit diff and only to find out it was from Mac Miller...idk but I always get into music from artist that had pass away, ig it's just wrong place wrong time for me

As a grown ass man it still brings a tear to my eye thinking about Mac. Dude was a big part of my late teens and early 20s and I even got a chance to meet him in Seattle at one of his concerts. I'll never forget you bro! I'll keep you alive though your music and make sure you are heard as long as i live 💯
Guy I used to cook with told me a story of when he cooked for Mac on Rochester. Said he came back to the kitchen high AF and thanked all the guys cooking. Love this song and BDE remix, if you haven't heard of it you should find it
I hope I’m not the only one who sheds a tear when they listen to this song late at night. For some odd reason it always transports me to simpler, better, innocent times.
That feeling after you graduated is something else man. You reflect on all the memories you had and really don’t know if you wanna be happy or sad about it. I don’t know I guess it just apart of it.
Listening to The Spins always kinda made me feel sad in a way. Nostalgic, you could say. So many good memories from this song and mix tape. I'm forever thankful I grew up with his music and forever hurt that he passed away. I love you Mac. Thanks for everything man
Embrace it. The happiness it IS. He made this at the best of times , maybe our best of times too. This art is to be enjoyed!!!!!!! RIP to the kid, thanks for everything Mac :)
AJ Sbordone I was thinking the same thing. And diablo by him. I remember singing this song in class with one of my buddy that was also a fan it’s lit. RIP Mac legends never die
Wow I’m literally in tears right now. Rest In Peace Mac Miller. Thanks for making my high school memories so much better with this mixtape. Love you man
this is the type of song to be playing in those scenes when the main character is traveling and theyre in the car looking at the window excited or scared and angry to go to a new place LOL
I was a sophomore in highschool when this came out, and I looked up to Mac 'cause he was like that senior that everyone was friends with. 10 years later, and I'm almost as old as Mac was when he passed. It's just surreal that I'll be older than him one day. Thanks for reminding me of that time in our lives, Mac. RIP
My absolute favorite song ever from Mac Miller "I graduated high school- OH YEAH I JUST GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL! HAHAAA!" I graduated in 2010 too...RIP Mac man 😢 😢 😢
2021, still can’t believe he’s not here with us. It’ll never feel like he’s gone, he lives through us all. I’m convinced he was too pure for this world 👼🏼
This song brings back memories from the summer. Going to the gas station with my brothers to get drinks. Going on trips to Walmart for random stuff. We always played this song. Now that they’ve both moved off to college, this song really brings back those memories
The fact this dropped when I graduated high school......was amazing.....I remember the day after on my front porch with 2 of my best friends smoking a chocolate blunt wrap on a few bars ..........I'll never forget that day
The end is fucking hilarious/beautiful. Whoever was in the booth with him said something like "Yo high school" and Mac said "Yeah I'm high as fuck yezzzzirrr" and he probably saId "No we graduated HIGH SCHOOL" and Mac realized and said "OH YEAH I JUST GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL! HA HAAA!" R.I.P easy mac
Huge throwback to the first days of smoking weed. Walking to the park after school, getting 'robbed' on a 20 bag, rolling up a joint, smoking and feeling stupid, stupid high, and all the happy memories of summer. If only life were still the same, nowadays gotta pop some xans or take coke to have fun, things will never be the same, but your music will always bring back those happy memories. RIP Malcom.
I have never read anything more accurate than this... back in high school when K.I.D.S. first came out, everyone would play this when we would smoke. Back when shit was simple... :(
@@0917mike he's given us music we can pass onto our kids instead of dubstep & 6ix9ine, we must just be greatful for all the good times we can associate his music to :)
His talent wasn’t wasted. Who he was led to his demise, but who he was led to his awesome music. I think he said it best on Faces “A shame that my tragedy my masterpiece”
@@westvirginian7412 he was placed on this earth to make music. He did just that. It didn’t last long because he was a mad genius. Drugs inspired a lot of his music, he became famous but it also lead to his downfall. His story is tragic but he left behind a catalogue of music that is unparalleled.
I'm 52 and Luv Luv this song I feel the words you would be singing about now come thru God Blesses Everyone that comes back to this masterpiece of lyrics and voice...
If you are still young and in school enjoy it while it lasts. You will grow up so fast and lose all those amazing things from youth. The older you become the more your life evolves around nothing but your work. On the weekends you will be too exhausted to be outgoing. And the friends... You will lose the vast majority of your friends. Even the best ones. Growing up honestly is sad.
It’s unbelievable the impact this dude had on our generations life . I have so much nostalgia attached to these songs , only the good times . I think I’ll be rocking mac till I’m 70 rip bro never forgotten

I barely heard this song as a senior just graduated 2020. It’s a new song to me but man it still feels so nostalgic like 2012 highschool would feel. I feel like I’m living in 2012 just listening to this. Smiles everywhere around highschool, always sunny days in california, and just great vibes all year.
Never was a big fan of Miller although I respected him and his art, and of course vibed to this track. A few days ago, I re-discovered this song through Spotify, and knowing it was him brought back so much nostalgia, warmth and sadness all at once. As I said, I was never a big fan of Mac, but knowing he had bangers out there was always good. Rest In Peace Mac
I remember this one night sophomore year in high school it was one of those rare occurrences where we had a guaranteed ride to and from the party we were going to, and our ride was blaring Mac the whole time, this and knock knock 💕💕💕 I remember feeling sooooo cool. And from then on would always play this in the bathroom while getting ready 🌸
