Hello ASL Heroes!!! Hey, I could really use your help. If you’ve enjoyed having access to an expert in ASL you can help me continue my work for you. A small monthly donation from you would instantly make a big difference here at the studio because teachers don’t earn much and I could use some help paying for server and domain hosting for Lifeprint.com. Right now you can help out a humble (not to mention kind, caring, generous, compassionate, helpful, friendly, fair, and hard-working) ASL teacher -- just go here and a few clicks later you too will be a true “ASL Hero!” www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=64QMBRBXQSV6G Thanks! - Dr. Bill p.s. Want to have your very own USB drive with four semesters worth of ASL instruction (that’s the equivalent of two years of colleges classes) for just $79.95? See "SuperUSB" in the ASLUniversity bookstore at: lifeprint.com/bookstore/bookstore.htm Take care and love to you all. :)

Bill, thank you so much for what you do with this channel. I trust your instruction implicitly. I enjoy it. I work outside the United States and have had evacuation and emergency support roles in addition to human rights. Thank you for helping me help everyone.

Bill, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you so deeply from the bottom of my heart. My wife and I and our entire family are hearing, but my son was born deaf. With both of us working full time, we were quickly being outpaced by our son, who goes to an all-deaf school. Thanks to you, I can have full conversations with my son and I can continue to learn when I get home from work without the stress of a class schedule. You are an amazing person, and we love you.

Letting you know your comment means a lot to me. I kept it in my (RU-vid review) "in-box" for quite a while just so I'd see it each day as I went through other incoming comments. Best wishes to you and your family!

I would do just about anything to be in a live class with Dr. Bill. I took ASL at Mendocino College but there isn't another in-person class until next spring (2025) so I am studying online. I don't have any Deaf friends yet but maybe someday. I live in a rural area so there aren't many Deaf events, sadly. I just finished ASL 1 with Lifeprint and am starting ASL 2. I'm wondering how many words I know out of 10,000 or if I would be able to have a somewhat normal conversation. Thank you for all your videos and all the sharing. One of my favorite videos is the idiom one. I know how to sign "standing ovation" now and a bunch of other sayings. I love ASL and this online school.

Bacon~shrimp tacos, that's genius~ Dr Who, with their theatrical orchestra music, is where I noticed it had extremely terrible sound balance that wiped out the dialog for me, and it took me a long time to understand that it was my ears.

Hello. I do not know the answer to the type of food Dr. Bill prefers. I understand recently you/he tried the bacon wrapped shrimp...But before that what was the answer to the type of food? Thank you so much. * Updated: It took me to stop thinking and I understand it was Mexican food.

Hello :) A good approach to getting answers to questions about the videos is to join the official Lifeprint/ASLU Facebook group and ask your question there by posting a link to the video and including a time code of the specific point in the video where you have a question about. (That way people can easily see the exact information to which you are referring). See item number six below for the address of that group. Additionally, if you ask questions in the video comments section, it helps to include a time code in the format of 00:00 which tends to automatically become a link.

That is a sign that means "same old, same old" -- or so routine as to be boring. It is based on the Y-hand version of "same" done with two hands and a circular inflection to add the repetitive time component. See: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xtfCL7wBOwA.html In the future, a good place to ask such questions is in the Lifeprint-ASLU Facebook group. See item 6 below for the link. When asking questions there use the same procedure: Give lots of context, provide links, provide a time code, give your best guess, etc. The people there love to help but crave context. ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ How to use ASL University to learn sign language for free: 1.
