Here is the first look at the New Mac Tools RBRT Wrench in action. This video was shot at Mac Tool Fair 2023 and a full demo of the new wrench line. This shows the BITE these wrenches have and how they can remove rounded fasteners and also do not damage good fasteners.

I like how he made the snap on open end slip by dropping the opposite end of the wrench when putting torque on it.

Subaruguy does the same thing. All the tool truck guys have tricks. Subaruguy was a snapon dealer , and this mac guy is sneaky also. Makes me wana buy generic Taiwanese tools. The men who make those tools don't want crap leaving their factory. I trust the Taiwan brand more than Mac or snapon.

@@TorqueTestChannel What would be interesting to see is if they can live up to their claim of being non-marring. Some of the wrenches you guys have tested have really brought the torque but chewed up the fasteners something fierce in the process, even the wright grip wrenches leave a mark.

I slowly purchased a bunch of RBRT bit sets end of 2021 into 2022 from my MAC tool dealer cause I work on mostly German cars and the bits get me out of trouble most of the time. Not sure if I’m going to invest in any RBRT wrenches at this time but good to know a new tool such as these are available.

Be patient. Buy the Proto(real version) when they get caught up on the Macboi order. Like the AXIS ratchet. The real one is Proto. Get that one. Mac will vanish one day. Proto will not.

Those demonstration bolts do look really stripped and it looks like a great option, but I’d like to see a “real” stripped bolt on a vehicle being removed that’s under torque.

he put a lot of effort into making sure the demo wrench was perfectly centered on the head of the bolt and the snap on was not centered and rushed. not a huge deal but worth mentioning.

I own both in SAE the snap on is the best everyday wrench. It chews up the head of the bolt Far less than the R.B.R.T under normal use on a tight fastener and it is much faster to use when taking the wrench on and off the bolt a lot to get a new bite after each turn of the wrench. The R.B.R.T does have a better shot at removing a rounded fastener but trying to use them on a non damaged fastener with dirt or paint on it is a big hassle compared to the snap on..@@shark61111

I wish I didn’t have so many 12 point fasteners at work to deal with. I keep a set of shallow and deep well FDX sockets to deal with rounded 6 point fasteners, but aircraft rely heavily on 12 point still. These look incredibly well designed.

@@rockstarfan886 we'll soon find out with your Capri trash. If you didn't notice, the Capri only bite hard on one direction, if you want to do the other direction, you need to flip it over... These work both ways as shown in the video without flipping over. They don't damage fasteners, the Capri makes a mess of a fastener, the Capri can't be used as an everyday wrench, these... No problem because they don't destroy everything they touch. The big Mac set is coming in a complete set 6-19. You keep saying extremely overpriced when a full set is going to be 300 American, that's a great price for a premium tool truck quality tool.

Well it's odd to me that he has "USED" them as they have not sent any of them out to anyone to "test" or to "use" this is a brand new tool they just released at the Mac Tool Fair (obviously as you can see from the video) but nobody has gotten to use them at all because the only sets they have are at the tool show and they haven't been for sale or seen outside the RBRT team until the tool fair. So I'm gonna say that that is 100% inaccurate.

The Capri wrenches are not the same design at all it is a twist design, these have teeth in the box end. They are TOTALLY different wrenches and designs. I have the Capri ones myself and I could tell from the picture when they released it Monday that it was a different wrench. The Capri is like the Harbor Freight or any other rebrand Taiwanese wrench that is made with that came design and imported with everyone else's name on them. Capri didn't patent that design they use. It's like Kabo and the long ratcheting wrenches that were sold under Monster, Icon, K Tool, Carlyle etc.

Wow, Koon Trucking & Mr Subaru used the same MAC Infomercial. Great performing wrenches but, I'm scared of the price. The capri set is a more complete set of the Astro Flankbite damaged fastener wrench. The RBRT wrench looks like they're using the older MAC Edge anti slip socket profile. @knellertuc9 EVERYTHING is over priced when it comes to tools🤣 My 1st mechanic job (1999) I used a starter set of husky wrenches and sockets, some screwdrivers my Dad gave me. I think I "invested" something like 400 bucks in everything I owned back then. Add 2 more zeros and that's what my tools add up to today.

Not been a dick but usually rounded off nuts and bolts are because it's super tight not just a quick nip up sometimes you need to swing on the wrench to under a fastener so not quite convinced yet let me see few other people drop a week's wages into them because they aren't cheep. Who the hell tightens rounded off bolts, to remove a rounded off bolt is one thing but I find this example not very useful. I will stick with Snap On.

You realize that on stuck fasteners many times you have to work it back and forth to prevent the head from snapping off? A quarter turn left then back right? Back and forth until it becomes free to remove.

I dont like that he didnt give the fdx an opportunity to break it loose. Idgaf of tight you can get a damaged fastener. Igaf about getting it out. Or that he didnt give the FD+ wrench an opportunity on the good bolt in the vise. Kind misleading Mr. RBRT...

Take a look at the torque test channel where they put the Max RBRT wrenches (as seen in this video) head to head against Snap On and many other brands. Take a look at the data and it will show you all you need to know. These won hands down. And they have no dog in the race (neither do I) but these wrenches work.
