I love how Jen uses stuff from her hits & misses videos. Alot of gurus tend to buy so much stuff and do long hauls/hits & misses videos but you never see them use any of the products in later videos. So props to Jen! I love this look, btw!
Wow you did an amazing job... I hate when other gurus try to pack on eyeshadow and never blend it in.. but you made it look natural! Jen you are awesome!
@IceWinifredd No, you should absolutely adapt the look to whatever style suits your particular eyes! My lids even with a crease are slightly hooded so tight lining my upper lashes don't usually show up but when I do makeup on others, it's a technique I often use. ;)
@MizzySauce I love the NYX slide on pencils! They are more similar to the UD ones than MUFE... MUFE tends to be harder and these are much softer like the UD, or maybe even softer than that. Wear time seems to be comparable but I'd have to do a side-by-side comparison to know for sure.
@beneathyourlove Oh darn maybe you got a defect! The little colored oval on the back turns pink when it's hot, so check and see if it does. If it doesn't return it for another one!
Hi jen! I used this look as peg for my model earlier today for a fashion show. Good thing I watched this video last night... This saved me! Thank you for sharing to us your makeup ideas :)
@alyceGoRound Without falsies I'd actually bring the shadows closer to your crease/lash line area so it's not so bold. Falsies make the color look more blended overall and natural as a whole but without the lashes the color will stand out a lot more. Honestly, just test it out and add bit by bit to see what looks best. It's easier to add color than to take it away!
You look so pretty with bright eyes like these! Love love LOOOVE the colors, particularly that bright yellow from Sugarpill. It's so hard to find a good matte yellow.
@Xtine103 I bought it from Ann Taylor Loft... it's a pin/clip so I wear it on a lot of sweaters and jackets too! I featured it in one of my monthly favorites video before. ^_~
Wow, I don't know where you live but that's way hot. California's weather has been amazing this summer!! I think we're in our low to mid 80s during daytime and 70s during night time!
@faerietalelie I appreciate the feedback! If I didn't embrace my monolids I wouldn't make tutorials for monolids, give tips for monolids, make videos makeupless, and I would've gotten surgery a long time ago. It's okay to embrace having monolids and like appling your makeup in a versatile way! It never hurts to be open-minded about what other people should and shouldn't do. If you want the look with no lashes, you can just not apply them if you choose to do the look. ;)
@filmparadis Oh cool, a really old school subbie! Yeah one of my first videos was a blue and gold look but it was super low quality and it was a 2-tone look while this one is a 3-tone look. I think I want to do a "basics" series of 1, 2, and 3-shadow looks so it helps people to know where to place shadows. :)
I love their new perfume. I got the small size one, I regret not getting the full size because I love the scent and the packaging is wayy prettier on it.
@heatherlovebug1 It matched well with my bright limey-yellow tee! Haha... but honestly I would either match 1 solid color (like navy blue or kelly green in this case) OR wear a plain white t-shirt. You don't want to overwhelm the look by clashing colors. ;)
@KEEMxCHI I like to keep some lash glue with me in my purse in case that happens. If you mean that they don't blend together try very gently using a lash curler to press them together and apply your mascara to both together.
i really don't know why but you are my favourite guru :) your voice is so nice and so are you ^^ and i'm always most exited about your videos popping up in my subscription-area!
When you showed us the yellow eyeshadow color, I literally squinted at my computer screen because it was so bright xD Ahahah, anyways, great tutorial like always!
i wish i had monolids. i have parallel eyelids that are almost kinda tapered. My eyelids are REALLY thick with a heavy hood so i can never to these makeup tutorials. i can only to tutorials from bubzbeauty but i still enjoy watching yours!
Hi, I really loooovee this tutorial and the eyeshadow colours are sooo gorgeous!! I come from Indonesian, and I'm graduating soon. We have to wear our traditional dress for our graduation and my dress colours are turquoise-greenish gold! And your video inspired me!! Thank you very much! Too bad they do not sell Urban Decay nor NYX eyesadows here.. :/
