I have a PC with a RTX 3070 and i9. I used to be a Mac user but got tired of replacing the entire thing when I needed to upgrade. Great video man! Love your stuff on Instagram as well!
I plan on getting a laptop this Black Friday or cyber Monday. I am trying to get an i9 12th gen with a 3080 or 3080 ti. I know it’s probably gonna cost 2 weeks of work to pay for it but I want it to last me a decade. Plus I can’t make any upgrades so hopefully they have a 2TB SSD 4.0 PCIE M.2! Wish me luck and I’m praying it’s under $3000 😅
You use to be able to upgrade the Macs Storage and Ram. I upgraded my 2013 MacBook from HDD to 1TB SSD and from 4GB ram to 16GB and it became blazing fast. It use to take 5 mins to start up, now it’s 30 secs.
So the synthetic workload (CPU-bound ray tracing that nobody actually does) benchmark favours the PC but the real workload benchmark favours the (highly portable) Mac. Got it.
i work on an Alienware 17R5 2018 GTX1080, all my editing and work has been through it since past 4 years. Now I want to jump to M1 Max. Plus i love airdrop yes haha
