It’s summertime and I always look forward to making macaroni salad. It may be more of a summertime salad but I make it anytime of the year. It’s a toss-up between potato salad or macaroni salad as to what my favorite summertime salad is. I’ll have to lean towards macaroni salad. Maybe this can be one of your favorites.

I love summer salads. Maybe use wooden spoons to mix in your art pottery bowl ,so you don't scratch ,or chip it. It is beautiful.

I use wooden spoons in my bowls, no scratches and much quieter.

I agree with scraping the bowl so I use a rubber spatula to get every drop out of the bowl!

Yummy recipe, in these dog days of summer, the cold salads are a staple in the South, I like to make foods that will not heat up the house too much, I am looking forward to Chili 🌶 weather, Love you Amy and your family, down to earth, the kind of neighbor/friend we could all use in our lives.

The first time i made macaroni salad. My boyfriend and i were having a bbq. And we invited his sister and brother inlaw. And a few other people over. My boyfriend said his sister would make the macaroni salad. I asked him, if he ever had my macaroni salad. He said no, i told him fine, I'm making it then. Kid you not, it turned out really good. And my boyfriend was extremely surprised. I used sweet pickles, with some of the juice. Perfect!!!

I was born in Michigan and moved to the south when I was 20. I grew up on miracle whip too. I actually think the first time I ever tried mayonnaise on a sandwich was here in Florida. I also make my macaroni salad similar. I use sweet pickle relish and I used to use radishes. I always make mine at least an hour before it will be eaten. It just tastes better when it’s been in the fridge a while. And Tuna macaroni salad with peas ❤

I always scape my bowls...cans...etc Its so annoying wen I watch yt video recipes on channels n they "dnt scape" their food out. Also it annoys me wen they cut a onion for a recipe up & cut the ends off & litterly waste half the onion. I've noticed most of the people tht do this are the younger generations. Us older ones kno not to waste bc of prices for groceries!

I steam my eggs as well. 12 minutes no green ring and ice bath. Five minutes peel off in one piece. It’s perfect.

I cant believe we're into August already. Living in Wisconsin, summer doesn't last very long here. I love your cooking videos. And I also look forward to potato salad or mac salad and all the summer salads. I really like bbq chicken on the grill. But I boil the bone in skin on chicken first. Seems to cook faster and I dont have to stand around the grill too long. Keep the videos coming. ❤

Amy, I like to use Rotini pasta for my Macaroni Salads. It holds the sauce so well. Rotini is my favorite pasta for most pasta dishes. I will try your salad soon. Looking forward to more of your recipes.

Love your videos ! I just got home from rehab on Friday July 14th 2023 and kitty was happy glad I am back home now ! I love my kitty and my little apartment I got on Feb 27th 2021 ! Before that I lived in a trailer home from 1998 till 2021 and before that a house for going on 42 years !

You’d be surprised how much herby-liciousness you can grow in a few pots! I have a typical in city lot. Not a lot of garden room, but I have a pot of chives and thyme, which comes back each year, and a big old pot of basil & Rosemary! Smells so good! Last pot has parsley! You should try it!

I use different pastas all the time. Im more plain with mine. I do what i grow up with. My mom always used, onion, celery, carrots, tuna fish, eggs and salt and pepper and hellmens mayo. So good

I make my mom''s Filipino macaroni salad.. she boils chicken and adds pineapple and juice , very light mayo, mustard, coconut vinegar onion, celery salt and pepper it is yummy..

Yum!! I don’t like my Mac salad very saucy either. But adding a bit extra in the beginning is a good idea because the macaroni will absorb quite a lot of the sauce as it sits! 😁

I am not a little person, but in my family I am the shortest (about 5'4")and my other half is like 6'2"...I love taking him to the grocery store, as I cannot always reach what I need... I am slow at chopping...Better to be safe than sorry, I say 👍
