Worst thing I've ever heard. Macaroni's RESORT. thankful to make 2 trips in the 90s before there were any of this commercialization. Terrible. Solo boat for 3 days. Never ever will that happen again. Never!!! Screw resorts.
We did a trip just as they were starting to build macaronis resort. We were the only boat. Sat there for over a week with perfect waves. We even said at the time these resorts would ruin the Mentawais. We scored everywhere that trip. Rags right, rifles all empty.
@Stopthegreed what's the difference, resort or lots of boats..it's all commercialism. All have foreign owners,all employ locals...the resorts probably employ more locals.Living in Indonesia since 2000..l have used both , resorts and boats.I prefer resorts, cramped in a boat with 10 guys.. sometimes strangers,not my idea of fun.
@@Felipemotta013 yes we were there when rip curl search 2 was filming ran into them at h.t.s on our last day no other boats we were on a boat called Sirius no air-conditioning the whole time there great food .friends and great waves
