Dear Michael, forgive me for being a pest with my comments & my excitement. I just spotted our old family home @ 00:21 of the film. A grand 3 story house, pale green colour in the middle, slightly obscured by the tree. Traditional Chinese funerals are held at home and I guess that was where you took a picture of my grandfather's funeral. I was born in this house in 1942 and came to Hong Kong in 1950. This brings back such fond memories of my childhood. It was sold and demolished in 1967. Shame!
the problem with macau in the 60s was that the chinese didnt want ppl going in there to gamble cause they knew money would leave china to macau, so macau was very isolated casinos arent a new thing in macau they are old, first casnos appeared in macau in the 19 century, but they never grew cause china didnt wanted ppl going there most ppl didnt have money to bet anyways
