The psychological analysis of Macbeth's behavior in this act was brilliant. I see poetry and beautiful language in almost every line. By the way, "thou hast no speculation in thine eyes ..." can also be interpreted as soulless sight, since the eyes are of a ghost.

Thanks Sowmitri. The best of Shakespeare is thick indeed with this kind of beauty and insight. Nice observation about the ghost. Come back soon, I'm preparing an enhanced Macbeth Theme video. I can't stop talking about this stuff:)

Couldn't the line "now they rise again [...] and push us from our stools" 22:51 also be a symbol for someone pushing a King from his throne and a forshadowing for Macbeth's downfall?
@5QShakespeare
@5QShakespeare 2 года назад
Yeah. That makes sense. Another manifestation of Macbeth's paranoia. Good point.

May I please ask what does Cain and Abel have to do with glare? Thanks
@5QShakespeare
@5QShakespeare Год назад
Hi CW. You mean Banquo's ghost glaring at Macbeth? That's Macbeth's guilty conscience; he feels his better self (brother/Banquo) judging him. And rightly so. Brother Murder (Cain and Abel) is a fascinating topic. I explore it in depth here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-P-WcLzQUS-c.html Hope that helps.
