MacBook Air M2 - 2 Months of Use REVIEW! (IT'S ALMOST PERFECT) 

I’d recommend the MacBook Air to pretty much everyone out there. This IS the Apple laptop to get, despite its $200 increase in price, no SD card slot (most won’t care) and smudgy midnight blue. It’s been a real treat to travel with!

I had a MacBook Pro 2018 Touch Bar 512gb that use to get very hot...Bought this Air yesterday, absolute dream...cool while using lot's of apps and clear pic - love it.

As someone who has owned a 2010 MacBook Pro for over 12 years it was the best purchase for me to get the MacBook Air M2 last month. It’s all thanks to your video back in June of reviewing it at Apple. I finally made the decision to upgrade. So thank you Karl for this! Truly! ♥️ 💻

HI Karl, Great Review, ther are tonnes out there since even before m2 arrived, but your is one of the few that I actually enjoyed watching. I can just see the pleasure that you get out of this laptop and I must say you are spot on. mine is just Space Grey as was my M1, and its a thing of Beauty and Elegance. such a Beast of a machine and an absolute pleasure to work on.

Quick tip for people with the midnight color (like me), get a transparant case so you still get the color but not the oil stanes

I ordered the midnight blue too. But the new aluminum body has some painting issues. in some areas it is strangely lighter, as if there were scratches. some big ones and some small ones. when my hands are greasy, these stains appear. If you polish the device with a microfiber cloth, these spots will disappear for a while. that's why i applied for a replacement, i have several spots on the new macbook, even the apple logo has blisters. the touchpad is most affected. I want to know if someone else faced with the same issue?

Went to get the MacBook Air m2 today before school start (upgrading from an early 2015 MacBook Pro). Unfortunately they didn’t have the 256gb with 16gb. But they did have the 1TB with 16GB, so I opted for that. And it’s a fingerprint magnet. After tax with my student discount, it came out to $1783.49

quick question. Are you getting 16-17hrs working time, meaning the laptop is being run and worked on for 16-17hrs, per charge?

I am about to let my 2018 MBA go in my total renew. This M2 Air meets all my needs to travel occasionally and power my desk set up too. I am definitely one of the “95%” to whom you refer. This M2 Air is a no brainer. Great review. What monitor is that in the background? Any thoughts on that topic?

Been using the M2 air for more than a week now. I got the starlight color and ain't regretting this purchase so far. This is really awesome!

I got the midnight one as well but also got a clear hardshell from Amazon so as not to get frustrated by the smudges, it only cost £20 so really cheap and looks good on the laptop actually.

Hi! What about ssd lifespan? On m1 there is a problem about which they are silent or do not want to notice. The system, even in the most normal mode of use, pours a monstrous stream of data to the ssd for an unknown purpose. Look at the trim and add resource. At least you will be surprised. Do not forget that the architecture of the arm from apple will not make it possible to replace the ssd separately, since it is a single unit with the CPU and RAM. Sorry for my English)

Downgraded from a M1 MacBook Pro 16 to the M2 MacBook Air. 16gb/512 (Midnight). I have never had a MacBook air before, and I am completely astonished! What an amazing laptop. My son, who got my "old" M1 macBook Pro is also very pleased...😂I can recommend this machine to all that just need a laptop for social media and productivity work👍

I was considering between this and M1 pro MacBook Pro. This review sold me on air. I was wondering if it would be able to handle more than basic 1080p editing and if it's battery life really is that much better. Both are a yes. I am sold. Plus, I looked up the prices of 1 tb ssd with about half the read and write speed of this and they cost half as much as it costs to upgrade this to 512. So I will take you up on your suggestion of upgrading it to 16 gigs and keeping the base storage. I am sold.

I own an M2 Air that I've now had about 3 weeks. Midnight color is BEAUTIFUL. Two things ... 1.) Fingerprints? There is no need for the whining about fingerprints. Simply get a set of skins (I got mine from Slickwraps) and viola there are no fingerprints and the Midnight color shows right through (buy matte skins). Done. No need for any reservations about ordering the Midnight color. Perfect solution. 2.) Sixteen hour battery life? Not a chance. What do you do? Let it sit on a table asleep all day? I don't do anything demanding ... emails, some web browsing, calendar entries, that's about it. I can get 6-7 hours which isn't bad but 16 hours? Sorry, no way. I'd recommend this as the best laptop on the market today and I come from owning two previous MacBook Pros. It's a beautiful device. Good review video but the fingerprint thing is not a problem if you know how to deal with it and the battery life is simply a fantasy. 16 hours? All I can do is laugh hearing that.

I would say be vary careful to the screen. I got my air M2 in about 3 weeks and the screen flashing. I swore it was not due to dropping or any pressure. So I went to the store, I could not exchange or return coz it was over two weeks. I did not have the Apple Care added during my order, so I need to pay out of my pocket $524 to repair the screen. So disappointed to this new M2 air. I have been used my old Mac pro for over ten years and it is still working.

Just received my SG 8gb/512 and it’s honestly one of the best laptops I’ve ever owned. My last mac was 13’ Air with 4gb/128 😂😂 this thing is light years ahead of what I had. Do yourself a favor and buy it.

personally love the portability but iam a student so budget is a problem and for 800 to 900 i can get a good gaming laptop that will help me in both gaming and vfx stuff but downside the bulky size. Would still recommend the M1 version or spend a bit more and buy the M1 Pro. The M2 Air is a great product, don't get me wrong, but just too expensive compared to the other M1's.

Apparently 512 GB would be a better upgrade than the 16 GB since the base model suffer from reduced SSD speed. Don’t really know why u recommend just upgrade the ram and not mentioning reduced speed at all.
