Screen protector can damage the screen! If u can pls take it of so u don’t have to buy a new one (same with keyboard cover)

What about a Mac book case? Like the plastic one will it damage the computer?

@@halfu.halfi1 Will also hurt the hinge, Macbooks are so overengineered that any additional weight or objects between the screen and keyboard will hurt it. That's how people break or bend screens.

My dad is getting this for me next year january for my birthday but instead its a space gray. He has the m3 pro and he decided hes gonna get me one since my old hp doesnt have good battery life and not rlly good for gaming. Ur rlly pretty btw and congrats❤😊

M1 Mac in 2016 or 2018...😵 Maybe you had an Intel Mac, cause M1 Mac's can't have much of issue which you stated and it came out in late 2020... And honestly no offence but please don't use any screen or keyboard protectors on the Mac, it's gonna damage it more...🙂

I had a 2017 fully spec MacBook Pro 15. When I look back it was (as you said) the keyboard protector I had that destroyed it. Especially as it was the intel version I think it trapped too much heat inside the Mac. Also I kept forgetting to take it off when closing the lid 🤦🏾‍♂️ It survived but would occasionally have glitchy stuff happen (ghost key presses, freaky screen, etc). So yeah, you’re right on that one.

M1 MacBooks first came out in 2020 so yours, be it 2016 or 2018, was an Intel Mac which were abysmally optimized compared to Apple Silicon models, so no surprise there that it’s already having issues. And as many here already told you, avoid screen protectors…..keyboard covers are fine and don’t do absolutely anything to your MacBook as long as they’re silicone or soft TPU (but for extra safety I’d remove it before closing the lid), but screen protector will damage the retina screen of your Mac.

@@SahistaGurung Apple has ensured there is enough gap between your keyboard and lid, when you close it, and Screen Protector tends to distort image quality...have personally experienced this. Screen protector can damage the screen. You’re going to lose any benefit of whatever anti-reflective coating is on your screen and you can damage the screen with it. Just use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe the screen down whenever necessary or before closing your laptop. Its a laptop not a mobile.

I have widget wall on my Mac but I know whenever I shut my computer and open it, the widgets disappear. I have to click on the app itself for the widgets to pop on my screen. Do you know or anyone know how to change it?

go to the widgetwall setting > general > turn on "open at login" there you go. they will appear a couple mins after you open your Mac :)

I have this same computer, can anyone tell me if I can buy a clear case? I've seen people say it damages the computer but I don't trust myself enough to leave it without a case. Please let me know before I purchase one and waste my money.
