I always think it’s odd that the only thing youtubers seem to think that people want to do with their computer is video editing.

This thing is amazing man. I picked mine up today and it changed my life instantly. For those who keep saying they will wait for the newer version, if you know anything about Apple and huge companies, they will always be working towards and releasing a “better” version. This is the best laptop on the market easily. Especially for content creation 😍

The FAA regulations need to move with the time, battery technology is very different and more advanced than when they made the rule!

Was going to buy a RB15 and gamble but this came out. Guess I'm sticking with Apple.

I have the 16" Macbook 8 core, 5500 8GB GPU, 64GB Ram, 1TB storage, battery life for just internet with no video 6-7 hours with video 2-3 hours, with 5 person MS Team meeting 2 hours. The graphics are very good, faster than my i7 7700k iMac with the RX580 GPU, and as reported the speakers are on another planet from any other laptop, in a small room they are good enough to be your everyday stereo. All in all very happy a very nice machine.

I've never used any premium laptop before... In fact, I've never owned any laptops. But still, awesome video. Hopefully by 2030 I'll afford this

I'm liking it too, and I've got the Dell XPS 15 too. One advantage for the Dell is that the hardware is upgradeable. Is the HDD and RAM soldered on the MacBook Pro? But I've never liked the way Dell handles the Colour Profiles and the blacks on the screen are not dark enough which is disappointing. I was a Mac user for the better part of 9 years and switched over to the Lenovo Yoga 920 and to the XPS. Seriously considering going back to the Mac. You should do a video on the XPS vs MBP16 😉

I love apple computers 🖥 I’ve had mine MacBook for a 2 years already and no problems what’s so ever still runs fast. That 16 would better better to do work with and see

Damn... It's been time for me to replace my mid 2010 macbook pro (which imagine, I've been enjoying for almost a decade...) and it took me a while to convince myself to make the jump to windows and go with the Dell XPS15. Price-performance wise, I simply couldn't justify the purchase of a Macbook Pro, specially with the latest controversial models. But the new MBP16 just got me confused again... I am so used to macOS that, honestly, the jump would be a bit of a hassle. For video/photo editing I would stick with the MBP and also I can see a clear advantage of a bigger display, but at the same time and from what I can see in this video, it looks like the display on the XPS is def superior (I don't know how much of a difference is in reality...). On the other hand, I am concerned of the problems with color accuracy on the OLED display.... So yeah, Black Friday is here and I am just more confused than ever. MBP 16 or XPS 15? Thank you.

Hey tech chap which is better xps 17- dell or macbook pro 16?

I went from 2013 MBP to 2018 Thinkpad this year for daily driver, but still use MBP for video editing. With rumored architecture change, I find it hard to justify over 2k for daily driving, and then possibly another 2k the following year or two.

When will such arrive in Africa?? Well done Chap, you inspire me a lot!

Best laptop in mac series..plus I also love mac display it doesnot strain on your eyes as other laptops.

I feel tempted to switch too but having really bad experiences with apple support and knowing that this laptops are almost 0 reparable is a big no no for me... I'm architect and media creator so having a laptop that can left me alone for months by sending it to device support... Well it means thousands of dollars in lost for me.... So maybe nope but it is an incredible machine

Hi. Great review. My 1st Apple product was a MacBook Pro 2011, it doesn't let me do much anymore so it's time for a new one. Does this have a port where I can plug a USB to use a wireless mouse and can I mirror a MacBook Pro 2020 to a (my) Samsung TV?

Yes speakers on mac is best .. Im having Macbook pro 16 inch, dell laptop, acer laptop but the speaker in mac is awesome compare to this two.

If you have a Razor 15", or Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Extreme, and many other Pro Laptops with 2 SSD slots, of the last few years you have always been able to have 8TB, for about $800 retail. Apple charges $2200 wholesale and keeps your base amount, and if it ever fails, you need to replace the whole mother board and you cannot keep it when you sell the computer, and the new buyer maybe able to retrieve private files and personal info, even after you securely erase it. @t And you have the Choice to use them in raid to boost performance up to 6000MBPS or for security one drive to copy the other, or for the best performance, to have your apps and os and frequent files on one and your storage and large files on the other. I do give it to Apple for being among the first to offer 8GB from the factory though, even though those with the macbook Pro from 2011, have had that ability by simply removing the dvd drive, and adding a 4TB there, and removing the main ssd and adding a 4tb there

I like that a 1tb ssd is reasonably priced (similar to competition), but soldered ssd and ram means u Must have extended warranty. They should give a 3 yr warranty on these like Dell Workstations have.

I'm waiting for that perfect 13-inch MacBook laptop of this almost perfect 16-inch Macbook Pro laptop; hopefully for a cheaper price ;) In the meantime, I might switch to the Dell XPS 13-inch laptop :D

I'm about to buy the new 16 inch MBP , base model , I can only upgrade one thing , RAM from 16 to 32 or STORAGE from 512 to 1TB , can anyone help me to take a decision please ?

Bring back the ports already, it is thick enough now. Take away 2 tb3 ports and give us hdmi, 2 usba, sdcard slot, digital out the headphone jack, seperate faster charging magsafe charger to keep the tb3 port free, this are the ports you took away. BRING THEM BACK ALREADY! (you can still use usbc to charge, if you want). These were the ports you took away to sell your dongles, that add weight, are easy to lose, and do not always work as advertise, with many different brands, and are there just for an additional profit purchase, after you plop down $3000 for a laptop, $350 for Apple care, which is a must etc. since Apple is against all independent repair, and has soldered everything to the mother board to make it almost impossible to repair, without a new motherboard, they do not even want independent repairs, out of warranty. And may use the T2 chip to brick the machines of all who try in the future. But most of all for security, long life, and practicality, bring back our ability to upgrade ours, not (Apple)yours, after we buy it, $2400-$6100 dollar Macbook Pro's ssd and memory ourselves, like the macbook pros and powerbooks before it. Stop being so GREEDY and STUBBORN! Only then will it be a "Pro" laptop again.

Yeah, but if Apple put OLED, and you have screen burn-ins, you would have to pay $1000 to replace the screen, because you cannot just replace the screen but the whole upper compartment.

I think Dell xps or ASUS ZENBOOK PRO DUO maximum upgrade is still far better than this. Isn't it ? 🤔🤔🤔

Catalina is the worst macOS unveiling ever! The 16" laptop is just the machine they should have released 4 years ago and are now playing catchup. Yet the whole package is a joke. After 3 days of simply trying to migrate my files from a 2017 mac to the 2019 16" mac, I got tired of repeated system crashes that forced me to reload and reload the OS and returned the machine to Apple. I have been a diehard Apple advocate since 1987. But the insanely great company run by Jobs died with him! Apple is now a consumer electronics company making digital toys from the trickle down of tech that Jobs developed. Worse, they insist on making themselves different based on stupid stuff like fewer ports or that dump control strip! Meanwhile, Windows machines are coming up with really useful updates and more reliable devices. I can't believe this has happened, but I may be a Dell owner in 2020 if the creative environment I once appreciated on the mac platform is available in windows.
