I have been trying to leave a comment on your IMSAI and Altair video, but they all seem to disappear in fact no one has made a comment on that video in two weeks. I have a few videos that can help you learn how to examine and deposit data in selected memory locations.
The contrast could be a better, but it's really not that bad. I'm not in a position to check right now, but I think the lettering is laser engraved, which doesn't help with the contrast because the key material isn't that different in tone from the key color itself.
@@f15sim Got ya. I hate to say it, I was going to order one, but now I'm having second thoughts. Not sure why they wouldn't just do black lettering, and fuzzy is definitely not something I look for on a keyboard :) Would you mind checking if original keycaps fit? I have a like-new original, and that would solve that problem!
@@rideon41 The original keys don't fit - the key post is completely different from the ones used on the original IIe keyboard switches. It would have been nice to see a compatible key switch used, IMO. You might want to reach out to them and see if they've got plans for a black lettering version of the key tops.
@@f15sim I'm so glad that peeps like you are keeping/restoring old tech, but there's not a lot you can do with it these days! Reminds me. I've got some files to send you for your archive.
@@wv838 One of the things that really cracks me up is that the add-ons for vintage computers these days often have orders of more processing power than the machine they're playing add-on for. What a time to be alive, eh? :)
