A ladder would have taken way less time 😂😂😂It's simple af. Not to mention, they would have needed like 8 of those jets spread out around each of them,a gyroscope and a chip to control each jet individually to have any kind of lift or control. And evdn then, they would have gone up 3 feet 😂😂🤣
I have been called "MacGyver" countless times over the years. Usually because I hack together a temporary fix that works only once to get through a jam. I decided I MUST learn more about MacGyver and holy crow, this episode is both glaringly obvious but also begs the question: WHAT??! At least my schisse works. Launching 40 feet in the air with pressure washers strapped to your back... TV shows have come a long way, but I think I'll check out a few more of these episodes/clips.
Same but I was called blackguyver back in the day because whenever I fixed something my family would say what are you trying to fix now blackguyver lol
It's actually been tried. Using pressure washers as jetpacks doesn't work, for two reasons. One, they don't bring enough thrust to lift a human, even at 3000 PSI (they do actually reach 2000-3000 PSI, so that much is correct). Two, the nozzles are angled, so getting the thrust directly downwards is difficult.
Quoting an extract from a ChatGPT conversation: """ The episode "The Stringer," where MacGyver discovers he has a son named Sean "Sam" Angus Malloy, is the final episode of the original "MacGyver" series. It is part of Season 7, which is the last season of the show. This episode aired on April 25, 1992. "''" Sounds believable. I didn't do further fact checking.
I do this when I'm pressure washing my driveway. So, yeah. Obvious bologna but, entertaining as always, Mac. When are they going to do MacGyver reboot? They hack everything else and ruin it. I think there was just enough cheese in this series that it wouldn't be too difficult to one-up it with a 21st facelift. Can't be any worse than what they did to Knight Rider.
@Drojdier it has to do with Newton's 2nd law (Action causes reaction), high pressure water can produce enough lift, you don't need a floor to push against. but you'd still need the required amount of pressure, and at least 3 hoses in order to maintain balance
I would have looked for or built a simply rocket and hooked it to a rope. Simpler than a jetpack lmao. Or just use water pressure to propel a rope attached to a hose (fitted with a grappling hook) up over and rope climb up.
Arthur fonzarelli produced it with John rich Arthur fonsi rowing club produce the original MacGyver series with the help of John rich Richard Dean Anderson could they all made a page of Passing it Richard Dean Anderson with the original MacGyver and his friend fantastic in prisoner of conscience he's got a knowledge and skill of MacGyver and his fantastic when he says wacky he's got a lot of wacky sense of humans running to watch the f****** the nightmare episode chilli fantastic action the original MacGyver from fantasy action even the one when the escape from Budapest I want to brilliant episodes escape from Budapest when they do the Italian Job so it's a marvelous the original MacGyver there's all these different elements in the original MacGyver needs all the different elements from different films and it's brilliant is friends of Richard Dean Anderson huge fan of Richard Dean Anderson huge fans of Richard Dean Anderson the original MacGyver multi-skilled MacGyver
@Drojdier , you don't seem to understand the 2nd law, it has to do with action-reaction, it works even in vaccum, that is how rockets work, if it took an obstacle for the anti-force to appear spaceships wouldn't travel in empty space. when rockets were inveneted people made the same argument you just made '' rockets will be useless for space travel because there's no atmosphere in space'' but 2nd law works perfectly in vaccum
£100 flushed or to do with water hose water hose and a thrift store to do it water pressure anything belts in notes of Fantastic episode is magnificent episode that is from the original episode when he falls in love with a beautiful woman then I have a son named Sam who is it like a publicist is mum was a photographic journalist Mark a couple of harnesses at the suitcase the suitcases out of the seat belts out of suitcases harnesses
I had no idea a golden palomina was a horse breed so at the part when he was trying to disarm the missle security measure from exploding and when he said "alright hot shot you got a golden palomina between your knees and no reigns now what ?" Yeah I was like I thought this was a family show what the heck did he just say that for and I hope it didn't mean something bad , I mean I didn't actually think it did but I was like what the heck did that mean right? Hey, ok it's not that I have a dirty mind but I do work around many who do if you know what I mean. Strange they assumed people would know what a palomina is and I am sure many do but not that many and really must little don't care cause it is just a show anyways. 0
Even RDA went on record to say the solutions were practical but useless. But this is TV. Why on earth would anyone want REALITY when it comes to TV and if you do, then watch reality TV. If you can suspend disbelief then watch MacGyver. But yeah... that acting. "Dad". Almost said better than most actosr from The Phantom Menace.
@Secret AgentMan you do know that a kid gets mothers dna too, and a male can inherit from his mom too. Besides at this stage MacGyvers hair was grey, not light.
I would love to have seen that in reality. O how I would laugh when the sprayed the water on the floor . Then one of them says , let’s have another look at that ladder ....
The son improvising a tourniquet for McGs hand and arm was strange for me as in the 6th form at school, I'd gone out to get lunch and a lady had fallen in the street, usual carnival of gawpers there, and I went to help her, she'd broken her leg, obviously, and I made a tourniquet from my ruler and her cardigan to help her keep it straight till the ambulance came that I arranged. The spirit of McG was strong that day lol.
3000 psi. And that isn't nearly enough to lift a man through that hose or break the tape. I suppose home depot pressure washers weren't so common back then
@@mikeissweet 3000 psi is standard pressure washer at Home Depot. Its enough to seriously cut your foot if you aren't wearing protective shoes. They would need like 60k for it to be possible.
I loved how he could get out of any situation using only stuff on hand,a swiss army knife and his brains. We need some MacGyver back on TV,not more reality TV bullshit.
Yeeeeeaaaaaah. Uh no. Youd need a hella lot more pressure than 3000 lbs. Or a hella lot more water. On top of that the guns wouldnt even withstand the amount of pressure needed. Ijs
