When the camera panned to beezy and his first words were “i think this better than pray for haiti this shit fucking amazing” with a huge smile. that’s all I needed to know
Mach-Hommy has come a long way. I remember when the crew first talked about him on Evidence’s Whether or Not project. Rod was like “He sound like 50 Cent.” He’s such a dope artist.🐜
This album is incredible man. I always thought that dump gawd: hommy edition was mach's best work but this is on another level I wish y'all could see the faces I get whenever I play mach around my Haitian friends and family. It's like some sort of pride and joy to hear someone who speaks our tongue sound so dope
This album was fire, Rapsody's album was fire, Vince Staples album was fire. This year alone we getting solid bodies of work even Schoolboy Q's Blue Lips and Marv Won's joint and we aint even in the half way mark in 2024 yet.
The rapsody album was underwhelming compared to her previous two albums tbh (and I'm a huge fan of her music). The rest of the albums that you mentioned are good though
Incredible album! For me, it's right behind ScHoolboy Q for AOTY... one of his best, next to HBO, Pray For Haiti and Balens Cho. It may go down as his best.
I loved Beezy’s excitement on this one. It made me so happy. And by the way, after watching this a second time I gotta say, Feefo you don’t have to say you like something when you don’t. As long as you can explain why you don’t like it, that’s a review. Better than sounding, at least to me, like you’re making things up as go along. It’s hard to believe that you’ve listened to Balens Cho, and maybe you have, but Myke wasn’t there to press you on it. You’re referencing Doom, it’s just hard to watch. The others don’t have a problem with saying they don’t like some of the music you like. Just keep it real dawg.
AYYYYEE I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO IT WHEN I GOT THE HEART ON THE LAST VIDEO! Album of the year so far for me I think (either this or Q) Thanks so much y’all I love this channel and I’m so glad y’all got to this one!
I’m usually not nearly as big on Mach Hommy as most critics and twitter Stans (same with Roc Marci minus a couple his albums and def Billy Woods too…for example I think Ka much doper and many other ILL underground MCs a la Elzhi, Ransom, Locksmith, Cambatta, Diabolic, BrotherAli, IAMGAWD, J.Arrr, RJ Payne, 38 Spesh, Droog, Marlon Craft, Sa-Roc, Che Noir, R.A.theRuggedMan, Eto, MC Juice, Pharoahe Monch, Apathy, OneBeLo, Nino Bless, Tonedeff, CunninLynguists, RhymeAsylum, Vakill etc etc) but this album was FIRE. This was by FAR the dopest I’ve ever heard Mach Hommy. I’ve liked some of his songs, but this album WASHED anything else I’ve heard (Pray for Haiti was 2nd best album I’ve heard but that had more misses. This whole album was fire). This def gave me Mos Def Black on Both Sides vibes plus he was real technically dope. This was also more accessible. PS Black Thought Elzhi Ransom Royce RJ Payne Em Locksmith AesopRock Ka Conway Benny Cambatta (though I didn’t like his most recent project as much) Mach-Hommy, Droog, 38Spesh, Sa-Roc, AesopRock, Lupe, Crooked, R.A., OneBeLo, Diabolic, Common, IAMGAWD Pharoahe Monch, Tonedeff, MC Juice and many other ill emcees > Roc Marci & Billy Woods lyrically. We can all agree this album was dope though. This and Brother Ali project prob my 2 favorite albums so far (that I’ve heard at least).
This is Album of the year. I can’t stop listening to big hit alchemist hit boy album though. That shit is mean as a mother fucker. The production on that album is bananas
Mach leagues ahead of all these other dudes in his lane. (Outside of billy woods) Although I think their lanes are slightly different tbh. I'd love to hear those two make an album together though. That shit needs to happen. AOTY by far!
Who would have predicted Mach putting 03 Greedo on a track? Two unique and brilliant artists but very different. I wonder what the story is behind that.
Bruh I love y’all but why did 2 of these fools have Xerox A lot in their favorite tracks? That shit ain’t even a song it’s the convo with Haitian Jack 😂
Great album but I just wish he could drop another ‘clean’-ish album like Pray for Haiti. Guy has major talent, would love to hear him work more with Kaytranada and do more island-flavor tracks like Lon Lon. He already has lots of grimy, low-fi albums under his belt, so would be curious to see him reach the height of his crossover potential
Absolutely killer album, but he should be sued for signing off on the self-titled hook. That's what you went with for your "radio" song? Def dropped the ball on that one.
How could anyone listen to these guys.. they aint saying sh*t musically cant even remember lyrics and not intelligent whatsoever about music especially with respect to Machs conplexity and cadence
