A friend needed a new handle for his machete that he uses every day for farming... I had limited materials, so i just did the best i could with what i had on hand.
That is just plain old wood glue, this is in Jamaica, so the hardware store was a bit of a hassle to go to from the location of the shop. I just used what I had on hand. It’s probably not the best thing, but it worked. It would be better to use some kind of epoxy.
U can use the majority of things that u have to hand tbh bro I've used rivet type fixings and also a plain old light switch/socket threaded pin on a few occasions and they worked just fine as long as its tight and filed down at the end smoothly then it will do the job. Hope this helps.

That’s true, if it was a sharp chisel to begin with, or if you didn’t know how to sharpen a chisel. The thing is, this video was shot in rural Jamaica 🇯🇲. The nearest hardware store is about 30 min away as the crow flies, and if you’ve ever been to Jamaica you would know that 30 min away can be a several hour trip. All that to say, getting tools, proper tools for different jobs is not always feasible, thus I use what I have on hand. In this case the purpose was to loosen the rust scale on the tang. And since i was the one who sharpened and revitalized all the tools in the first place, I figured I could do it again with the chisel I chose for this task.
