I just play it in D in standard....weird that it would be in d standard, as jimi played in Eb...but yeah that would probably give a lot more open strings...!!!
EzyRyder1969 good point never thought about it like that, the only problem I have with it is he’s dead and didn’t have kids so it just seems like all of that money is going to Janey who didn’t really have anything to do with him. It’s more about the principle. Maybe Leon wasn’t the right one to be in charge of everything but he could’ve got something. I played a show with Leon this year for Jimi’s Birth day, it was awesome to sit down with him and hear about Jimi’s childhood like never before, poor guy had to legally fight to keep his own last name. That’s the problem.

I know you asked this 2 weeks ago but for what I see this is in Eb. I'm not an expert but playing this in D just doesn't sound right, so I believe it is in Eb.
haha thats not really buddy and its not because i dont like his vocals, but because i want an instrumental so I can do the vocals as well as the guitar work. i was excited at first because i never heard this version and it sounds better to me than the other version without vocals thats been on youtube. i like this one.
