Full House Machinery, a family-owned business, creates machines that make wood doors for commercial use. About a quarter of the residential and commercial wood doors in the US come off their machines. To keep that market share and competitiveness, Full House saw an opportunity to upgrade its PC-based programming system with a CNC and PLC-based system from Mitsubishi Electric Automation.
The new modular programming cuts an estimated several weeks to a month off the commissioning of a new machine. Full House's VP of Operations, Chad Braid, shares, "It just speeds up the whole process of programming. This system has allowed us to take a pre-written program and just plug it in. It works immediately. And Mitsubishi Electric has been great with helping us develop the programming."
