In this video I demonstrate a simple technique that ensures that your sewing hits the point dead-on when you sew a belt, a strap, or any project where precisely placing your stitches is important. And this technique works whether you've got a sewing machine or you're sewing by hand.

I really enjoyed the entire series on this belt. You are a great teacher. Thank you for taking the time to help so many leather workers.
@expellisleatherco
Thank you for sharing with us ! Learned a lot more than just how to hit that stitch perfectly at the tip. I really appreciate your comments on Craftsmanship. Feeling both inspired and encouraged to be pursuing this work

It's great to see a fellow craftsman producing quality leather products and willing to share the knowledge that used to be withheld from those interested in the craft! Keep up the great work!!!!

I’ve spent most of my adult life striving to be a craftsman. I agree 100% with your use of the word and the reasoning behind it. I’ve been working with leather lately and man do I enjoy it as a material! Beautiful and thoughtfully made belt! Thanks.

I'm glad I watched this video. Thanks for sharing. What thread and needle do you prefer for your belts?

Hi Ben, thanks so much for all your super tips!! What size of thread and needle are you using and how many stitches per inch ? One more time thanks, Roberto.

Excellent work, on the video and the belt. You said you use a Latigo for the liner, what do you do to keep it from leaching? I have some latigo from wicket and Craig and they say it could leach so I haven’t dared use it on a belt. And what ounce leather is it, I am guessing a 2 to 3? And thanks again for the videos and attention to detail. And thank you, and your wife, for the service to our country!
