I see a Growin Corn video about equipment...I know lots of curse words and honest reviews are on the way...I hit like... it's so simple.

An 1100 acre well managed enterprise is something to be damn proud of. I was 300, then 1500, and I am thinking the smart money would have stopped there. You don’t have to go over the top on infrastructure and equipment, payrolls etc… Your place and equipment look great 👍

Awesome videos. Really enjoy all the content you put out. Here and on TikTok. Keep em coming. Like to see the difference in equipment compared to what we use down here in South Texas. Cotton, sorghum, and corn is our rotation on about 1200 acres.

You have yourself a damn nice fleet, love that you replaces your 20 series with that sweet 7400, always loved the 20 series and especially liked the look of the roll guard and canopy combo and that 7400 gives the old look a fresh face

That quick hitch setup on that planter is slicker than hell. They’ll be patenting that if they see that, it’ll be their latest and greatest improvement that they talk up I’m sure. They come around to the good ideas eventually lol. And there’s no such thing as too much horsepower. There’s always times you need a little more grunt.

It kills me how deere will have 400 options that you'll never use on a tractor, but they cant make a simple way to switch from corn to beans on a planter lol.

There's some no tilling around here but its by far more so for beans than corn. Main problem is our ground is so flat and when you get early spring rains it stays wet forever if it wasn't chiseled in the fall.

Just wondering why your corn head and drapper heads are so small.Especially since you put that time in that combine you could definitely have a 12 row corn head and a 35 or 40 ft drapper.Maybe you have some smaller fields up there i was just wondering.
@growincorn745
@growincorn745 4 года назад
These heads are borderline over kill for our acreage. Bigger heads means more trucks, which means more money, then you gotta pay someone to drive those trucks. Would also need a bigger grain cart. 110 hours a year is virtually nothing on a combine.
