Went all the way to the top in the light rain finally reached the top the rain finally let up when we reached the top looking down at first couldn’t see Manchu picchu then all of a sudden the fog lifted and it all of a sudden appeared and what a view. Best trip ever.

This brought back memories of my trip to Machu Picchu. I wish I would’ve researched the area more and stayed at that sanctuary as it looks gorgeous! And I love how friendly they are.

We pack pretty light...just a carryon and backpack each, but still...not much room on the bus. Yeah, don’t tell anyone, but we were most looking forward to the llamas...Amy is a sucker for cute, fluffy animals 😂. Thanks for watching!

Beautiful opening time lapse shot of Machu Picchu, was that your footage? Visiting Machu Picchu is one of those magical places I really hope to visit soon. This hotel was absolutely stunning, you are so lucky to stay here. I think I would strongly consider staying here myself. I loved that you summed up this experience as mindblowing. I couldn't agree more. Can you fly a drone around there?

Yes, that was our timelapse we made of the sunrise! We were 1st in line for the 6am slot to get a good spot. Unfortunately, there are no drones allowed, and they are pretty strict about the rules too. Thanks for watching Will!

Nah, I don't think it was altitude sickness...just got some kind of respiratory infection. She got some antibiotics in Aguas Calientes and started to feel better!

Just watched your video. So cool!! I am really interested in staying at that hotel to take advantage of the early bird entrance to Machu Picchu. Did you mention something at the start of the clip that you could have been picked up by the hotel instead of taking the bus?? Thanks again.

Yes, they will pick you up! We were staying down in Aguas Calientes the first night...but if you’re going straight to the Belmond, it’s way easier! They’ll meet you at the train and pretty much take care of everything!

Hi there! The altitude didn’t really bother us too much in Cusco or Machu Picchu, a little short of breath, but that was probably more about us being out of shape 😂. We did struggle in Bolivia with sleep and headaches in Bolivia, so we know altitude can affect us. Also, keep in mind we were based in Bogota Columbia during this time, which is at 8500’ so we were a little acclimated already. I hope that helps!

Yes, we color grade our footage using Peter McKinnon's Kodiak LUT...our footage is mostly shot with Panasonic GH5, with some GoPro 7 thrown in. Thanks for watching!

2 things...1st...how did you defeat the tripod police to get a great time lapse like that? That was one of our most disappointing parts of the amazing Machu Picchu experience. 2nd..we stayed at the Belmond Palacio Nazarenas in Cusco and it was amazing!

Haha...yeah, we used a TINY 6" tripod...basically it sat on the ground. Then we just sat by it, kinda hiding it from the police 😂The Belmond Cusco looked so amazing...but we blew the budget staying at the Sanctuary Lodge. But I have the budget, I would definitely stay at both next time! Thanks for watching guys!

I think we did book a little in advance, but not too much (couple of days maybe?). I think you could totally do the trip in 3 days (I’ve heard of people doing it in 2). Hope this helps! Have a great trip!

It would be really helpful if you can give prices in your videos. More info on the bus ride up to the top. The hotel looks idillic and just perfect. What is the cost of staying a night please. A week there would be heaven.

I think we were there around August. We did spend 2 nights there, and went into the park early the second time to catch the sunrise. I can't remember any handicapped people, but there were a number of paths we didn't take...I know there's a lot of stairs in the lower part though!

The displeased face of the wife is horrible for a motivational and entertaining video for a youtube channel. Better that she does not appear in the video and we avoid seeing her annoyed face because that way the video does not attract attention or make you want to finish watching it.👎
